Resort or Ski Area: Jiminy Peak

Conditions: Packed Powder fog Temp around 38

Trip Report: Decided around 9 am saturday to head up to Jiminy for some day/night skiing. Got on the chair at 3:30 and took a run down whitetail which had nice packed powder from side to side. We skied this run for an hour before heading over to the other side of the mountain. Most of the trails over there were in the same shape as whitetail but seemed to have a bit more fog in that area for what ever reason. No ice at all..Jiminy did a real nice job with what they had to work with. The coaster is cool as well although I never rode it but my kids would love it. We closed the mountain down at 10:30 and headed to Bennington for the night.
We woke to rain on Sunday but decided to head to Mt Snow and then Stratton to check out the conditions. Both looked ok but the rain was coming down and we decided to bag it and head home. On our way home we passed by Maple valley ski area that is for sale for 1.75 Million. We decided to turn in and check the place out. As we walked around we realized its going on 10 years closed now and looks it. Some say one would need 500k to open it but I would think it would be over 1 million to get the thing off the ground. I am not sure it will ever open again as a ski area:sad: No pics as the fog was real heavy.
