Thanks for the pics, trailboss. Too bad we're letting so much good snow go to waste. Has ASC ever prosecuted anyone for skiing its mountains after closing date? If they haven't, what are we waiting for?

You're allowed to....it's open access all year round, you are only paying for the lifts, because they're on state forest land, from my understanding of it.

IIRC a large portion of Pico sits in private land. The upper part MAY be in the GMNF. I don't recall exactly.

With that said, ASC has better things to do than chase people off their closed ski slopes. We've had this discussion here before....ski areas generally don't encourage nor discourage people coming after or before the lifts turn. It's just at your own risk.

Looks like it is great shape. Really no bare spots in sight, which were quite common at Wildcat last Sunday

I heard a rumor the original pico closing date was due to the fact that the groomers were having trouble grooming at night because som many people were hiking, and they didn't want to hit anyone..... anyone else hear this?
