Some of the people over at K-Chat are reporting snow being blown on Cascade. It's likely that pre-season snow they blow every year, but it's nice to get this before Columbus Day if its true.

This is usually the time they get a few people out to make a few photo-turns.

Still, you're right. Good to see things starting up. :)

Yup. I would keep an eye out for marketing-type pics tomorrow. Don't expect the mountain to be open to the general public anytime soon though...

WE MADE SNOW!

5:00 am
10/6/04

I'm about to head up onto the mountain to inspect the "product"
that Killington snowmakers laid down last night in a test of the
most extensive snowmaking system in North America.

Cascade was the lucky trail and while we'll be open for skiing
and riding in November, I can't help but get really excited. Can
you?

This weekend is a great time to come up and take a look at their
handiwork from Snowshed Base Lodge while enjoying a tasty brew
at the 9th annual Killington Brewfest.

remainder of email balh blah blah ASC all for 1 passess blah blah blah buy now bl;ah blah blah

Channel 7 in Boston showed the guns running and then showed 3 people (likely Killington staffers) skiing down a muddy, rocky trail with a couple of inches of white on it. They were actually making turns, but I hope they were using their old skis......
