NO!!!!!!!!!!!

Those bastards at POWDR are starting to get on my nerves. First they invest massive amounts of money into Killington this summer. Then they make a valiant effort to open up early for the 08-09 season and now this? Bring back an extended season again with a cheaper pass?

RIP Killington Train Wreck Threads :(

Would be nice if they threw in an added bonus of the rest of this season free, or at least discounted, for anyone that buys a pass early :) Guess, I'll have to wait until the last minute to decide since a lot of mountains are coming out with early passes. Hmm... the competition may turn into something good.

We're not out of the woods yet.....they still haven't announced a revised closing date for this year, or improvements for next year, if any.....

My fears were obviously premature

This very thread could turn into a sweet train wreck in and of itself.

I think they have their sights set on Sugarbush. The non-blackout pass at $999 (or thereabouts) is pretty much the same rate as Sugarbush's...and their open and close dates are similar...

I don't get it  There's no one doing any real bitching, just simple discussion. If it was about any other resort, well....

Are you Rush Limbaugh in disguise? Can't you see that the evil POWDR Corp is clearly favoring the wealthy skiers by giving them a break over the lowly black out pass income bracket?

I bet they're lying about extending their season too and will probably close Pico an additional midweek day under the guise of fiscal restraint considering the reduced season pass revenue.

Everyone knows how evil POWDR is!

No, I'm not Rush Limbaugh. More like Rush Dumbo. I did not see the great conspiracy in the making. Thank you for showing me the light. Now I'm not sure what I'll do.

To buy or not to buy, that is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a the dastardly Powdr corporation
And by opposing, end them.
This is the question.

Unlimited passes are valid every day of the 2009-10 season from early November through early May, weather and snow conditions permitting

Having the season passes valid through early May is not really saying that they are extending the season through early May. It certainly sounds better than having a pre-determined mid April closing date like last year. I'll give ya that. I guess many will be happy if they do stay open into May but I thought most Powdr haters won't be happy until they stay open until early June like during the " stupidstar" era. Most in kzone do seem to be softening abit on the anti-Powdr posts.
