yeah i know but still so sweet.

What i'm trying to figure out is when the bumps on highline were that perfect. they had a course on it for awhile but it was roped. I was there on the 15th of april, powder day. and then on the 20th of april for a glorious spring day but highline had been mowed. WHY CANT THEY LEAVE SOMETHING LIKE THAT UP!!!!! sorry for yelling.

I've seen that vid. Some good skiing in there. Some erratic skiing in there too, but all fun to watch.

'Cause ASC Brass don't like bumps.

Sounds like Powdr may have a more bump-friendly philosophy. I can easily overlook all the "bad PR" if we see some great bumps up there this year.

Kid looks good! He's styling! That's good you got your kids into skiing. I don't have kids, but I know several parents who WERE diehard skiers and they had kids and that was it. It ended. They use that as an excuse on why they don't ski. I tell them to try to get them into it also? DAAAAAAA! That's like a lost cause. I'll ask a few coworkers that have kids to go skiing/riding and they all use the kids as the excuse and they're ALWAYS working on something in the house? :???:: bathroom, kitchen, floors, etc... It's like they're rebuilding their house every year! LOL!

Sweet. Your boy is going to trip when he's a teen.

Not diehard enough apparently. My oldest daughter started last year at 4 years old. I too take on many DIY projects, but not too much gets done during ski season.

They've been both on skis since they were 2, John (Iceman, he's 9 in that vid) has probably logged 350 days on snow already. He's now basically better than both myself and my wife, he's a wiz in the trees and pow, and this year will be his first full year competing for the Killington B mogul team. He did 3 competitions last year and learned a lot from them.

I think it's dumb to use kids as an excuse to NOT ski. Kids freakin LOVE skiing once they try it.

These are the 3:

Okemo, 2/17/07

BMMC 4/1

Killington Klassic 4/15 (I missed his run on day one, this was day 2. He landed a 360 on day one but I didn't have the camera ready).

Slacker Dad...

;)

I know. Idiot. I was yakkin with this other guy, and suddenly I see him coming down, and then land the 3. All the while the camera is in my hand.

You've gotta be on the ball if you want to catch them on these comeptitions. They don't always announce who's coming down the course.

I dont know if all kids love to ski once they try it. I'll find out about my oldest this year but if she doesnt enjoy herself, i absolutely will not prod her to keep trying. Not saying i'll give up after one attempt but nothing bugs me more then seeing parents push their kids at sports. It ruins it for the kids. You see this all the time in organized team sports. and on the slopes. I saw a guy taking a little kid down liftline on castlerock one year. Poor kid was bawling about 1/3 of the way down and the dad just kept yelling to keep moving. WTF are they thinking?

Well, I said they love skiing. But y ou have to let them ski within their limits. The kid that was bawling would have probably been smiling on as easier slope.

Post wasnt directed at you. Just a general observation based on your comment that kids love skiing. You are lucky, your kids share your passion. Hell, your wife shares or exceeds your passion for skiing. I guess you have the hat trick going on that front. I hope my kids take to it also. But if they dont, so be it.
