The land is owned by Killington Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC. Who actually owns that is unclear whether it's a joint ownership or all SP.
No not all of it, just some huge parcels where the village will go on Rams Head and Snowshed areas.Didn't SP sell to great gulf?

s up to no good. Amazing no local politicians went down with the guy from far away.
They can't as Upper Juggernaut has been officially discontinued (acreage no longer legally usable).I just hope they bring back the 10-mile trail. Not grate on skis, butt well worth it to watch all the stranded snow boarders.
Will Killington ban Snow Boarders? YES.
Just my POV, but seeing Killington abandon terrain over the last 25 years has been very sad. I understand cutting costs, but it's sad to see so much terrain closed. They can't as Upper Juggernaut has been officially discontinued (acreage no longer legally usable).

Itβs a peaceful escape from the crowds. Here is my trip report on abandoned upper Juggernaut https://forums.alpinezone.com/threa...ernaut-new-k1-lodge-guide.143905/post-1105952Juggernaut was a swap to be able to cut trees elsewhere. Why on earth would anyone have any interest in skiing that trail?
Iβm talking about some of the other lifts and trails. Sure, Juggernaut was flat. I skied it back in the day.Juggernaut was a swap to be able to cut trees elsewhere. Why on earth would anyone have any interest in skiing that trail?
Agree on RH. That said, they turned that into basically the next level up terrain from Snowshed by terminating the HSQ where they did. Carrying a lift to the top wouldn't allow the same lower level so I'm guessing if they do right the wrong, we'd likely see a mid unload about where the quad now ends. Of course, that is an added expense both in lift costs and personal to staff it. Guess we shall see if things ever come to pass...I don't mind losing Upper Juggernaut. As mentioned it was given back to bank the acreage for other changes. I also don't mind the loss of Lower Juggernaut (the escape route out of Bear). Had to cross the parking lot and no one used it. Both a drain on patrol resources as well.
Northeast Passage disappoints, but as mentioned, in its last configuration it was set up for disaster. Lowest elevation, long slow lift, lack of traffic. Only way that entrance survives is if skier visits increased to the point that Skyeship and Bear both frequently hit capacity. Oh, and they finally get around to upgrading the snowmaking system to be able to handle the acreage they have already cut themselves down to, forget adding that back in.
However, I do frequently lament the decision to neuter the top of Rams Head. It is a wrong that should be righted with a lift replacement. Especially considering RH has become one of if not the busiest peak.
