Then people coming from the bottom would have to get off and back on to get to the top.
That is the compromise needed to be made in order to be able to download on stage I. With no skiing to the bottom, people would only have to hop out at the midstation and reboard once all day, no one will be lapping stage I anyway. A lot more people will be looking to board at stage II throughout the day than Stage I, so it would enhance those lapping stage II to have all empty cabins to board at the midstation

It would be easier to just build the walkway under and around the uphill side of Stage II (or downhill and under Stage I) and operate the two stages together as designed. It's a little out of the way but since folks would only use it once when they're done maybe not a big deal. Operating both stages independently is a pain in the ass.

Maybe they might fix that during the freshening.

Going to check out pico today.with some luck bear tommorow
How was Pico? Tried it for Opening day on Friday (late day 3-4 shift) and it needed a couple of more grooms / a little more snowmaking.

Killington early shift both Saturday and Sunday pleasantly exceeded expectations given the rain that blew through on Wednesday.

The summit chair had a delayed opening to let the groomers finish. 49er under the guns was very good, big whales and soft snow. It was partially groomed they cut paths around the biggest whales. Natural trails were ok, good coverage hard frozen base with a little soft on top. Killington Sunday was pretty good. Skylark/ bittersweet to high road under the guns was the best run. Lower Bittersweet was rough in the morning before they fired up the guns it got better later. Other trails were a mixed bag some ok, some slick spots

cruising for something to watch and stumbled across this, which looks too bad to actually watch

Can't be worse than the Killington movie where they get stuck on the lift overnight.
"KILLINTON 2024" That is a summer set Killington Slasher flick. The Killington winter one is a terrorist Hostage situation.
The lift one is Frozen 2010
The 2010 movie Frozen was filmed in Utah at the following locations:
Snowbasin Ski Resort: In Ogden, Utah, where the movie was filmed in February 2009
Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest: In Utah
Although the movie is set in the fictional Vermont mountain of Mount Holliston, the filming took place in Utah. The movie's director, Adam Green, worked with ski patrol to make the movie as realistic as possible. Some of the challenges of filming in the elevated setting included:
-Using a 50-foot techno crane with a 10-foot platform
-Building a cherry picker bucket to hang in front of the actors' chairs
-Actors sitting on a lift at 9,000 feet for 12 hours a day for a month

Here is a winter set sking and boarding zombie slasher flick slightly better reviews then both Killinton ones πŸ˜† 🀣

Headed to Killington for the first time in a month not named October or May. Anything I would be remiss not skiing? Probably going to base out of the Skyeship on Rt 4 as I'll be rolling over from Hanover. Any tips would be appreciated.

Julio is my personal favorite run if it's open. I also like Devil's Den on Bear Mountain but it's not open most of the time either.

No Julio yet, but maybe if they rack up enough inches then next few days then it will be in play. Agreed that it is one of the best glades in the east and the best part is how easy it is to lap.

I hope so. We'll be up over MLK weekend and would love to be able to ski that section from Anarchy over to Julio.

I would say Julio, the trees to the skiers left of Goat, and the tree section to the skiers left of Paradise at Sugarbush are the 3 best glades in the VT. There are alot of good ones to choose from up there though.
