It didn't come off as that. Mainly because you've brought up the "90% don't ski bumps" thing more than once.

Pretty funny that you of all people posted this, Moseley. Especially since you've been relentlessly busting my balls since you started posting here, even before you really knew me all that well.

actually that "I'm outa here" almost seems to me to be a tongue-in-cheek imitiation of a famous poster who used to do that all the time on KZone - can't exactly remember who it was right now. Its pretty much out of character for Geoff...

wasn't that JB007 or whatever.

perhaps a wink or smiley face would have helped ....

You're a big bad K-zoner and that little rib is gonna bother you? Please...

I think you need to keep in mind that you are the admin. You have the power, and have used the power to edit or nuke other's posts. Both place an added burden on you to keep neutral and more civil than others. Unless you want to call this Greg Zone.

You're entitled to think what you want. Let me just say though, if it was you that stumbled upon me and my crew BBQing in the parking lot like I did with your group a few weeks back, we would have most definitely offered you a beer and a piece of effin' kielbasa at least. Instead I got quite the cold shoulder. Just sayin'...

Not sure when this was, but I wasn't there, or wasn't paying attention. It's not like we feed the entire parking lot. It does lead me to ask is there more history there than this one incident? Or even some history that you missed seeing? (See below) Oh, and Geoff never brings Kielbasa, so it follows he would never offer you some. Did you stick around long enough? Did you offer anyone some of your beer? Works both ways.

Agreed 100%. I'll keep it real though, a little bit of a know-it-all-ness to his posts, but I can live with that and I do appreciate his passion and experience regarding all things Killington. Gotta lighten up on this one though.

Geoff sees less grey than average. He's not shy about expressing his opinion. If he has the experience to form a solid opinion, he expresses it as such.

I suspect that the usual message board clipped writing style ambiguity effect was at work here. Consider your post in red. Are you referring to Geoff to lighten up? If so, telling someone you just may have insulted to "lighten up" isn't going to go over very well. Are you referring to yourself? It isn't clear. Likewise, when you said, "Nobody skis bumps anymore. Just ask Geoff." were you referring to Geoff's prior comments on bumps and Stratton demographic groomer skiers or Geoff's skiing ability? It's ambiguous, and could be construed as an insult.

The bay 1 BBQ's were fun the few years I came.

Mrs G, Junior, TY and Dork,Gsmashed, Rusty K, Ski Nut Dave, Andy Z, and V. pedro, Mtn man. some names change..... were all very nice and welcoming. I felt like a fish out of water for about 5 min and then I was just like everyone else. Skiadkt said I met him. Still laugh he was on the to meet list and can't remember meeting him.

Mrs G makes an effort to say hi when ever she makes her way to Maine. I see Junior at non ski events. The group has a nice community. Some of the K-zone banter is too agressive for me, but the people I met there were very nice and kewl. Ty and dork Andy and V went above and beyond.

Posts are edited and deleted here far less often than a lot of people think. As a matter of fact, I'm much more willing to let things go further than some of the other mods. I think the mods and I are more than fair. Finally, and I've always said this, I'm a member first and an admin second.

Not sure when this was, but I wasn't there, or wasn't paying attention. It's not like we feed the entire parking lot. It does lead me to ask is there more history there than this one incident? I was just walking by. I recognized Ty and then it clicked that I just came across the K-zone Bay 1 spot. I was just passing through and didn't have any beer with me. Maybe there is some history, but none on my part. I extended my hand first, I tried to strike up conversation, I wished everyone a great afternoon. Once I realized the conversation wasn't being all that well received I was on my way. My buddy had a beer waiting for me at the bar anyway. The kielbasa was just a generalization. I had no idea whose pork products were whose. The point being it just didn't seem like the most welcoming environment, but it's not like I was invited in the first place so maybe I was looked at as an intruder. That was just my impression, perceived or real.

Geoff sees less grey than average. He's not shy about expressing his opinion. If he has the experience to form a solid opinion, he expresses it as such.

Likewise, but above it seems like you're suggesting as the admin I shouldn't be this way.

I'm not going to go back through all that and try to clarify what I meant. Doing so would negate my apology. I'm pretty sure Geoff knows what I was getting at and I wasn't trying to take anything away from his ability or terrain preferences. If he needs/wants clarification, he can PM me.

Jersey yo!!
Wait is Geoff an a-hole in real life??

No, he is not an a-hole. 100% no!!

He is a well respected member of the Killington community. He is a good skier, a good guy, and a good friend. In my experiences with him at Killington and elsewhere, he has been nothing but sociable and nice and often very generous during the bay1BBQ's, as is pretty much everyone there, especially the lovely MrsG.

Goeff is a far cry from being an a-hole. Anyone who thinks he is is gravely mistaken.
