or a new sub-forum called the Rumpus Room.

That would be "Rumpa$$ Room" to you:):)

. . . and thanks for the nice comments from others . . . sorry Greg, but it was perception . . . I did go out of my way to say hi and you just ran off like a puppy with his tail between his legs - only interested in changing your skis . . . your loss . . . we've met many people on this board and have always been willing to share . . . I find your negativity to Killington and KZone a bit disturbing . . . many come here to share exchanges and add to the success of your board, and you continually badmouth both . . . see ya!!!

That's sad, too. MrsG is always a gracious visitor to SR and the SR board. While I've never met her personally, I would like to.

Maybe next time it will go smooth. Mrs G is nothing but class.

I've nver met anyone on this board but you can kinda draw your own conclusion as to what someone is like, and for me the same thing could be said for Greg. just sayin.....

I like greg and I use to moderate here.

That is why I said I hope it goes smoother next time.

Mrs G is very friendly and has tried to keep in touch with some of us non k regulars.

She is a class act. That has has nothing to do with Greg. I'm sure they would get along fine with more time and another get together.

I see a differecne between some k-zone posters and the crew that hangs at the BBQ's. Face to face is much more real than typing.

Mrs G. made two meet and Greets at the River this year. She has new friends there as well.

Hard not to get along with here.

Your point was understood.

Don't take this as me defending Greg, he's more than capable of defending himself I'm sure. From my view, the negativity towards Killington on this board 99% of the time comes from Killington regulars themselves, which in many situations also means from Kzone members. The saying goes 'a few bad apples'....and I think that applies here. No ski area in the Northeast is a lightening rod for criticism like Killington; sure Stowe gets beat up for being expensive, Sugarbush for not allowing turn earners, Stratton for being Flatton etc, but Killington is in another league. So much so, that it's comical at times.

I can't comment regarding the 'real life' meeting between the K crew and Greg having not been to witness it, but I can comment on what I do see here on this board and for the most part the negativity towards Killington comes from K regulars. Only thing off the top of my head that I've seen regarding negativity from Greg would be his criticism of poor moguls on a recent visit, which to me seems very docile and has nothing to do with Kzoners.

You're a big bad K-zoner and that little rib is gonna bother you? Please...

You're entitled to think what you want. Let me just say though, if it was you that stumbled upon me and my crew BBQing in the parking lot like I did with your group a few weeks back, we would have most definitely offered you a beer and a piece of effin' kielbasa at least. Instead I got quite the cold shoulder. Just sayin'...

Agreed 100%. I'll keep it real though, a little bit of a know-it-all-ness to his posts, but I can live with that and I do appreciate his passion and experience regarding all things Killington. Gotta lighten up on this one though.

Greg, I was there when you showed up at the Bay1 BBQ and I recognized you and said hello. I remember Geoff introducing himself and Mrs.G also. At the time you were there they were just starting to grill I believe so nothing was ready to be offered. I had no beers or food with me so I could not offer you any. You told us you were meeting up with someone. I did call you to let you know that Iceman wanted to hook up with you but you never got back to us. I was not feeling too well that day so forgive me for not being much a hostess or for not joining you skiing. I don't think that they gave you a cold shoulder - they were just busy getting things going.

As far as bumps at K goes, I found moguls in Big Dipper, Escapade, skiers right on lower Superstar and there were some on skier's left as well. There were huge moguls on Skyhawk and there were more moguls on lower Skylark. The best moguls were on OL but you had to find your way over there and make sure you had a ride back. My legs were toast at the end of both Saturday and Sunday from skiing moguls. I am not a great mogul skier but I did tackle quite a few on those days. K does not have an open run like Stein's so if that is what you are looking for then by all means head to Sugarbush.

I'm not going to go through debating all this with you. I guess everyone has different perceptions. That puppy jab is pretty funny though - I was the only one trying to make any sort of conversation. When the response is luke warm at best, it's time to move on. Anyway, the one thing I will say though is I don't regularly go around bashing Killington so I'm not sure where you're getting that from. My only complaint was that the over-grooming this spring was a bit disappointing, but I'm hardly the only one that thinks that. As far as any K-zone negativity (which I also think is pretty minimal), go look at the way I've been treated over there and it might make sense why I don't post there anymore.

I acknowledged that you said hello and were welcoming. Again, I stumbled on your group so maybe everyone was just caught off guard. Anyway, no harm no foul and I do hope Geoff accepts my apology.

I'll be honest, I was a little nervous being responsible on the hill for someone else's child that I hardly know. I know Iceman can take care of himself on the hill, but still. I have to imagine as a fellow parent you understand. Either way, by the time I got your voicemail, it was close to 3:30 anyway and would have been difficult to meet up with Iceman in time.

Iceman knows his way around Killington and can take care of himself. He even hiked a few times over to Snowdon to ski the tree runs there and built himself a jump on North Star so he can practice jumps. He did this on his own when he could not reach me by phone and could not find anyone else to ski with. Of course, when I found out he did this, I was not too happy since that is a closed area. He had left me earlier to go ski with some of his buddies so I thought he was still with them. No problem on your not meeting up but just wanted to clarify that we did offer to ski with you and were trying to be welcoming.

back on topic ... at this point even if they feel they have to groom superstar, it should be half & half top-to-bottom, not just the lower headwall. really should be a continuous bump run. groom skye lark & bittersweet. leave supe bumped and get the expert skier back to k.
