The passes said as long as Sherbourne operated[ the mountain. Powdr didn't buy ASC or any operating company, they bought the assets, and may have assumed the lease. Therefore, Sherbourne and/or its successors are no longer operating Killington. Ergo, no lifetime pass for you.

While I understand the business rationale, I still have a soft spot for the long-time pass holder. They bought in when times were not so gravy - they helped the area and assets grow in value. So, in a way, there is some paid-in-capital, so to speak.

It's like the VFW Post that leases MDC land on the Charles near the bridge in Cambridge. They propped the area up for decades back when it was unsafe, unkempt and undesirable. Now that it's all gentrified the MDC wanted them out. Luckily, the MDC lost.
