Talking to a friend today about Philadelphia, I started a story with "Last time I was in Philadelphia, Ehud Barak was playing the piano in the hotel bar..."

What's your favorite odd story opener (that's not necessarily my favorite, but it struck me as odd)?

For added points, resist the urge to tell the whole story.
For double bonus points, finish the story of someone else's opener.

The last time I was in Philly...this random crackhead asked me if I'd like to buy some mean green off of him and I said..sorry but the only green in my diet is frogs..
