I have everything ready to go for ski season except my ski play list. It is getting a bit stale. I added AC/DC's Thunderstruck and Shoot to Thrill and the Kinks' Victoria (live version from the late '70's early 80's) this summer. I would like to add some tunes recorded in the current century so I am interested to hear what AZ's have recently added to their lists.

I have not been digging much released in the past half dozen years or so. I just picked up Fantasies by Metric which is amazing. Really digging on a new Wales band called The Joy Formidable. And I have had all three of Silversun Pickups albums in frequent rotation but most especially their most recent Swoon. Innerpartysystem was also a breath of fresh air. Otherwise, I really can't think of much new music I have been tuned into during the past half dozen years. Earlier stuff from the early 00s I don't listen to as much recently. Tool's Lateralus is perhaps my favorite album.

From this century on my workout playlist (or close to, albums since 2000,) which would double as the starting point for a ski playlist if I had one:
Barenaked Ladies - What a Letdown, Celebrity, Aluminum
Cage the Elephant - Ain't No Rest For the Wicked, Back Against the Wall, In One Ear
Foo Fighters - The Pretender, Long Road to Ruin, This is a Call, No Way Back, All My Life, other stuff I'm forgetting
Muse- Hyper Music, Knights of Cydonia, New Born, Plug In Baby
Offspring - You're Gonna Go Far Kid, Hammerhead, Rise and Fall
Rush - One Little Victory, Secret Touch, Far Cry, Malignant Narcissism,Caravan
Tool - Vicarious, 10,000 Days
Weezer - Photograph, Hash Pipe, Troublemaker, The Greatest Man that Ever Lived

I'd get a little more mellow with skiing, something from Gorillaz might find its way on, Stylo or On Melancholy Hill come to mind.
