WOW what a year!
This is the start of an awesome year for ski areas here in the North East. The number of ski areas and the number of ski trails opened from Maine to West Virginia to North Carolina is just incredible. The weather for the rest of the week past New Years looks just awesome for ski areas. I could be wrong but with that many ski areas and trails opened it should NOT be very crowded on the slopes.
If it is quiet on the the trails you want, consider heading for that small little mountain near your home that is hardly opened.
Get out and ski.
