I didn't know but I'd like to wish you well on that. Although I'm not sure if you're hearty enough for the winter months of the Northeast Kingdom. Whatever will you do on those cold, grey days when it just snows and snows? Does your new employer know there might be some sick calls?

Congrats...it will be diferent, very diferent but a good diferent. Assume Burke and Jay will see you alot.

One of the first places you should check out is the Fairbanks Museum, just down the road in Saint J. Shopping in NH(no sales tax) is minutes away but try to buy Vermont if it works for you. Breakfast at Miss Lyndonville Diner...ooh la la. The Whites are pretty close by as well. One more thing..Lake Willoughby is just up the road.

thats awsome, your like 30 minutes away from cannon now, right. Its probably the best skiing location in NE. I wish i could live up there, probably the only kid in all of lynn that would love to live up there.

good different indeed. i've long grown tired of the cities and suburbs of the boston area and look forward to hardly any traffic lights, less congestion, friendlier people, more community, less sprawl, and mountains every where. the burke pass with the jay and cannon options will fit the budget as well as the desire, two of my favorite mountains and likely three once i get to know jay. planning to buy in VT as much as possible regardless of taxes or not.

Bob R is correct that i'll be the big chief, so explaining sick days is a lot easier when i'm calling the shots :)

Congratulations on the new job and the upcoming move!

You will have to meet me at Orford or Shefford for some skiing next season.

Steve -

Congratulations! I am seriously jealous of your summer and winter recreation options! I will look forward to lots of skiing and hiking trip reports. You are now the official word on conditions north of the Notch......

All the best - CM

Congrats on moving up to my home town! I'd say buy your furniture from my Uncle's shop, Stahler Furniture, but he's a bit pricy.

Burke/Jay Pass is a steal...enjoy it for me and be sure to hit the little Outing Club for a real throwback feel. From Lyndon you are an hour from FIVE ski resorts and if we extend that out, the possibilities are endless. Owls Head is another hill I've been jonesin' to try.

Ski shops...PM me.

Hiking...Willoughby area is cool.

I envy you, but I did get some great news regarding my future (PM me for more...don't want to steal the thunder here)

Good luck!
