Magic looks like a great destination this week and next. While they're not getting one-foot dumps, 4" every day is adding up. They now have the majority of their trails open and reporting powder and packed powder. Magic will be a great destination next week during Mass. school vacation week, with lots of shoulder-room, unlike their neighbors. It's also a great destination on a windy day due to the lift profiles.

I will probably get there Tuesday or Friday....

Thanks for the update, Marge and I are planning on heading up to Magic on Saturday as we have some free passes to burn. Glad to know they have good conditions. If they get any more snow this week we may play hooky from work on head up on a weekday.

Greg, if you are planning on heading up some time this week PM one of us.

check your passes for blackout dates. For several Vermont resorts, the President's day blackout starts on the 15th and runs through the 23rd, depending on the voucher. I have a Magic voucher that is blacked out beginning Feb 16th.

There is a common theme on all the TR's this season. "Better than expected" comments are pretty frequent. I've said that a few times this year, especially after the niar. Sometimes the 'net gives us TOO much info....

Actually we have a gift card worth 2 weekend passes, not passes. No black out date!

YES, Magic is RIPPPPPEEE!!!

BUT, Roark and I ate up the entire mountain, sorry, no fresh tracks anywhere anymore! We skiied all of it HARD, so it's no good anymore. Everyone better go to flatton instead (and save it for us!)

(the above in tounge and cheek, just for those that don't know me..) Conditions were SWEET today!

nice. tomorrow should be nice, especially in the trees with this wind.

please give us an update when you get back.

Absolutely!

I spoke with the Mountain Manager today. He said they're in good shape and just getting better. Everyone I talked to was very cheerful. They finally got a break.

There is still plenty more work on the Red Chair, however, they have really gotten into a groove on the project and they're making some serious headway.

The last weather map I saw showed 4 -8 " for Wednesday for SoVT!

The hill is in great shape! You'll have a blast. Although djspookman wasn't really kidding.:-D

Saw patrol checking out the lowest tower on the red chair. Hopefully they can progress quickly.

Not to worry. Having worked there as long as I did, I believe there are a few places I can find that will be untouched 8)

It's gonna be sweet up there if they get this storm on Wednesday...

Sounds like it's already pretty good, most trails are listed as being open. :D

Question for those that have been there recently. As I understand it, Redline is down so only Blackline is running. How easy (or difficult) is it to get from there to the east side of the mountain (to ski Goniff, TZ, or Redline)?

its a short uphill skate from the black to get to those runs. its not a real big deal.

Good question. I've heard it's not too bad though...
