First run of the year on O.L. About the 10th person down after the rope dropped, waist high untracked the entire way down, constant face shots. That was the run I decided to get fat skis on.

Most memorable runs from 2009 -

Friday Feb.20 @ Jay Peak. Met up with my friend Marc for some serious powder skiing and took him out for his first ever Big Jay excursion. Due to some technical difficulties with his skins, he was pretty cranky by the time we summited. The run down? Sublime. Waist deep.

Sat. - Monday Feb. 21-23 @ Mt. Mansfield. Every run was a powder run. Storm total 50" - 60"? The runs that stand out -1) First run from the summit. Nailed Hourglass to Profanity to Bliss to Pluto. 2)Finding a skiable chute after getting cliffed out. Don't know if there's a name for it. 3) Holding a safety meeting inside the locked up Gondola Bldg. after hiking up on Monday for our last run of the trip.

Last day of the year @ Stratton. Free ticket (thank you) and Snowboard Championship event. Man was that halfpipe huge! Found out there is more to Stratton then just trails.

A ruin of breakable crust down Jester at Sugarbush was pretty memorable. Not in a good way.

Third to last day of the lift served season at JHole. Something like 100 inches or so over a two week span and a 14" pow day to cap it off. Tram laps through Rock Springs was the closest Ive ever been to heaven. Literally over my head deep in spots. You could hit anything, and I mean anything and not even have to think about it. I saw more lines get slayed in a two day period than any other period of my life.

Feb 21st on a saturday at Shawnee Peak we were skiing in the woods and found some lines that had been untouched all year. Beautiful sunny day with friends and awesome untouched snow. How do you beat that? One of the best days in memory.

Tux, 4/10 the Lip. Wasn't graceful, but that is one mad steezy run and I made it down unlike the 40% that rag dolled their way down. Was hoping to make Mt. Washington this weekend and get another mem run in, but engine light on my truck said otherwise.

3rd tracks down Catwalk at Killington on a 14" morning, 2/20. Throne, Growler, and Anarchy were sick all day.

Thu, Feb 26th, Powder Mag test at Jackson Hole...10" overnight and snow mon and tue...a 4 Pines lap with Wade McCoy, Dave Reddick, myself and a co-worker...best part is, that was a "work" day. Completely untracked, thigh deep.

Without question the night I led 120 strong down Magic in the torchlight this year. Not the best pic as most skiers were still up around the corner but you get the idea.

So many good ones. Steamboat Powdercats was incredible, the second day I was the first down a chute that that had a good 5' of snow that hadn't been skied in days. It was so deep we couldn't even come near to hitting bottom.

That and trying to straddle a (what I thought was a) 24" tree but forgetting the snow was 18" deep around it.

The times me and Atomic Jeff got chased by the redcoats..and when Root and I were chased into the parking lot and they threatened to call the state Troopers on us..not the best runs but memorable No Doubt..
