Well, it was more sarcasm than anything. Did you need to present birth certificates or photo ID's for you and your daughter and your wife to the Notary Public and all be there in person?

Back last summer, you needed to have the birth certificate for the kids in case they asked for it. They asked for the permission slip from mother but not the BC. Surprise #1. They like to surprise you. On Oct 1st, everyone traveling to CA by air needs a passport. By the summer 08, everyone traveling by land needs a passport.
