So far, how happy is everyone with what they were hoping their season would be like back in the fall when we were all drooling for the first snowflake?

Basic catagories that come to mind....that can be answered with a simple grade; A, B, C, D as well as with an explanation.

Days out (though never enough), are you on track for your season goal?

Overall conditions you have enjoyed?

Personally skiing improvement/technique?

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time?

Days out: 17 so far - gotta give myself a B for that, if it wasn't for all the Patriots games I've gone too in the last few weeks I'd be almost at 25 now - still on track for my 40+ days goal though

Conditions : A great year so far, and even the couple of "wet" events have been short lived

Technique: B+ plenty of days of "refining" my powder technique

New Places/revisits: Well, all 17 have been at Mount Snow, but the great natural snow this year has let me revisit some lines in the trees that I hadn't seen in a few years, so I'll give it an A for that

Overall, this is an A year so far!

Days out: 5. I'll give myself an A- here. Way, way more than last year at this time, but I'd like to get still more

Overall conditions you have enjoyed?: A. Two powder days (Crotched 12/22 and Loon 1/2), and the other three were all beautiful conditions.

Personally skiing improvement/technique? A. Made huge advancements in my big-ski skiing technique

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time?: A. I've skied Loon and Crotched this year. Both new places.

So far, this year is an A. Best Ski Season of my Life!

Days out (though never enough), are you on track for your season goal? 26 days. A

Overall conditions you have enjoyed? November 17-January 1: A Since then C-

Personally skiing improvement/technique? C. I'm more fit but my technique hasn't changed in many years.

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time? C-. Mt Baker and Whistler but I get there fairly frequently. A couple Sunday River days are my only non-Kmart east days so far.

Days out: C -- 9 so far. The goal of 30 is in danger, but I don't particularly regret the weekends I've done other things.

Overall conditions: A, way better than the last couple years to this point, solid "PP + some pow stashes" most days.

Improvement/technique: I'm taking this class pass-fail. My technique probably stinks, but I've been feeling comfortable on challenging terrain.

New places: F, none so far.

Haven't been keeping track of the days out, as it's never enough.
Did get out to Utah for some of the best skiing ever, even made it out for a short time in the backcountry, first time ever.
Even got 2 "powder" days at Hunter.
Headed to BC Saturday, can't wait.
I'll give it a B+ so far.

Days out (though never enough), are you on track for your season goal? 9 (nowhere near as much as I had planned upon) - C

Overall conditions you have enjoyed? - B

Personally skiing improvement/technique? - A - Vast improvement already!

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time?
- F - I've pretty much stuck to Sundown, with one trip to Mohawk. Wanted to get to more places but it's hard with 2 little ones.

Overall, it's been pretty good, though. Better than last year. ;)

I have a new problem. I was so spoiled by the December powder that everything not in the woods looks like garbage to me right now. I need an attitude adjustment, ski only woods or ticket west....

Days out (though never enough), are you on track for your season goal? 9 days so far, 10 after this weekend. I'm on track to definately beat my 20 days from last year, but not so sure if I will be able to hit the big 30.

Overall conditions you have enjoyed? A+, 6 out of 9 days have been powder days, which is unheard of for me. Couple of those days included waist deep pow, which again, pretty rare, and to think the best part of winter is still to come.

Personally skiing improvement/technique? A, I continue to progress, the addition of the helmet this season has made go a little harder in the trees/terrain park and i'm in the daily routine to force myself to ride a couple runs switch, which is coming along nicely.

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time? I haven't skied any new places this year, but have been skiing alot of different stuff at K that I haven't in the past. I also visitied Butternut this year, and the last time I rode there I wasn't good enough for the blacks, this time the whole mountain felt like a green circle.

Days out (though never enough), are you on track for your season goal? C (5), probably missed out on 4 days total due to injury, weather and work. Was hoping for 10 by the end of January to be on pace for 25 for the season. Will finish the month at 7 days out, so probably will finish the year at 20

Overall conditions you have enjoyed? B+, C+, A+, A+, A by each day so VERY good

Personally skiing improvement/technique? B, lack of time on snow and poor fitness level has me not where I want to be. I'm skiing well, I just fatigue easily

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time? A+ Two first evers in Mt Abram and Wildcat, another planned for Saturday at Black. My goal for the season was variaty and out of the 20 days I hopefully will get out, it will be spread between 8 or 9 different areas.

I'll be at 19 after tonight (yes, I count night sessions.) My goal of 35 days should be easy - probably closer to 40.

Overall conditions you have enjoyed? B+
Both November days were very enjoyable with nice soft manmade. Day 4 was a powder day at Killington, Day 6 a powder afternoon/evening at Sundown. Hunter gathering was fun with good conditions. Early seeded bumps at Sundown were fun, but sort of distracted me for a full month; would have scored an A if i have gotten another powder day or two further North. Last two days at Sugarbush and Hunter were solid B+ days.

Personally skiing improvement/technique? A
I'm very happy with how I'm skiing so far this year.

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time? F
All repeats from last year.

22 Days of which 14 were powder for a nearly 2 out of 3 powder average. I am looking for 60+ days which should happen easily baring another injury. I got out early, skied most weekends, and got a few mid-week days scored. But due to work, I missed a number of really good mid-week days. Ideally, I would be at 25 days with a 70% powder percentage to have an A+. Not much for October turns this year which was disappointing compared to previous seasons.

Overall conditions you have enjoyed? A-
November and December were really good. Quite a few epic days but it seems like we were always just short of the big one. Nice recovery after a tough mid-January but I am still waiting for some big ones.

Personally skiing improvement/technique? D
I may have taken a step back this year. Due to working six days a week at around 15-16 hours per day over the Summer, I lost a lot of muscle, tone, and general athletic conditioning due to spending so much more time in a chair than hiking and other outdoor activities. Didn't hike much in the Fall either so I entered the season really out of shape. My technique has pretty much plateaued due to spending so much time skiing soft powder on gentle slopes. I rarely get to ski challenging terrain but do challenge myself in the trees going bushwacking quite frequently. I skip out around noon time if the powder runs out instead of hammering the hard pack. Call me a powder princess, I am cool with that and I am cool with not pushing myself like I used to.

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time? B+
No major revisits but but I have skied some new and interesting places including one long awaited descent that had been on the back burner for four years. Spread out my days quite nicely between seven different areas and had a new area at Pat's Peak. Hadn't skied Sunday River in a long time and skied there twice, once earned and once lift serviced. Also, hiked up Attitash once which was my second time there and that was a revisit of four or five years past.

I give the season a B+ so far overall, though I do not consider that a "mid-season" ranking, that will have to wait another month and a half. What has been missing most is sharing the really good days with other skiers. Sharing ski days is the major reason I decided to do the Pat's racing this season, so that has been good. But I think I have only had four non-race days shared with ski partners and that has been too bad. Last year I almost always was partnered up for the really good days.

Days out about as many as I could get. I bailed one day due to high winds and being with my son. 31 so far. (A) I skied in Oct. My 1st goal of the year was made. Over x-mass break... I think there were only 2 non powder days. Just had to poke around,

Tech step forward and step back. Been tryign some of the woods and bumps so style has a way to go. C- regular turns have been better. A-

Variety none. I can live with that. I went for family and personal comfort. All days at the river. Making turns on a mountain much larger than I use to do weekly. B

A- overall. Would have been an A if we did not have the warm up.

6 Days, but we've already got a long trip to Tahoe and a couple to Killington booked.

Overall conditions you have enjoyed? B

Haven't hit any ice so far, been all heavy snowmaking days.

Personally skiing improvement/technique? A
I've been improving in the moguls a lot so far this year.

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time? B
Got to Sno Mtn twice, and Elk, neither of which I've been to much in the past.

Days out - on track for seasons goal? A 33 days out so far. Am actually ahead of my goal for the date but am at a standstill for the moment. Minor (I hope) knee injury.
Overall conditions- A- excellent conditions other than mid Jan thaw.
Personal skiing technique? improvement- B was getting better in the race course and challenged myself by getting off the groomers much more this season.
Skiing new places? F I have only skied Shawnee Peak and Sunday River. But I have made many new friends and had a lot of fun at both places. The SR message board crew are a blast to ski and party with!
Having Fun? A+ This has been my best year of skiing yet. (Till the knee injury)

Days out (though never enough), are you on track for your season goal?
B- Tough call. There was a point in time that there was serious doubt I'd be able to get on the hill at all this season. Got out 7 times so far. However, once I did get out, I realized there wasn't any problem. I'd like to get out more. On track for 16+/- would rather be on track for 20-ish.

Overall conditions you have enjoyed?
B One bad day at Jiminy brings this down a little. Really nice days at Cranmore and Attitash help as well as good days at Bromley and Pat's.

Personally skiing improvement/technique?
C No real improvement, actually a bit of a step back this year. However, that's all due to recovery from knee surgery.

Skiing new places or re-visiting those that you haven't skied in a long time?
A- Hit Jiminy and Bromley for the first time. Got back-up to Attitash and Cranmore, heading back-up to Black and Wildcat in a few weeks. Haven't skied, nor do I really plan on skiing (with a few exceptions) the same place twice this season.
