Wow did the tone of posts change in this place after a few flakes finally fell. Glad everyone had a great weekend and it sounds like more fun to be had towards the end of this week.

My mood definately swung when I logged onto Snocountry.com yesterday. Best time of the year coming up and a couple of shots of snow would make me a very happy camper:smile: Bill's posting of Herb Stevens blog was just the tonic I wanted to hear. PA race season over and its time to travel. Hope Mr Stevens is right as I've got time and several prepaid tickets to burn. The pop in the step is back.

Yes..a big Weds snowfall while I am stuck at work, knowing by Saturday it will be gone might make me a wee bit cranky.

I wouldnt worry about that storm. Given Smuggs, Stowe, and Jay just picked up THREE feet of snow, even if it didnt snow up there this week the conditions (and woods) will still be fantastic this weekend. If they pick up another 6" or 9", it's just a nice bonus IMO.

I feel a powder sick day coming up this week!!

I'm on vacation and currently in VT, bring it on baby. Skied MRG for the first time today, it was pretty frigin awesome two days after. No frozen granular to be found, thank God. I'll be skiing Sugarbush tomorrow. I'm expecting it to be worlds better than my first visit there a month ago.

Screw that. No offense. We need as much snow as we can get. We want to be skiing into May. Every little bit helps. The deeper the better. 3 feet or not.

Saturday was my first time skiing this year that I didn't want to stop. Every other day after a few hours I felt like I had my fun but it was time to go home.

It's never time to go home until the lift stops turning, or, in my case, the liftie says, "you're done!" (Today's sad parting event)

As the Burke poster says, Apres ski is for AFTER skiing, not INSTEAD of it!

Well, OBVIOUSLY, I want it to snow. And BTW, you'll be happy to know that the models have (as they've been doing lately) shifted north tonight :daffy: . My point, however, was that even if this storm didnt pan out, the skiing in n.VT will still be fantastic for the next few weeks. THREE or FOUR feet of snow doesnt vanish overnight.

I know you want snow. I hope the models keep coming up a bit. Sorry to be snappy. I was hoping for a big snow this week. :sadwalk:

This weekend was day 36 and 37, or something like that. THANK GOODNESS I had all those days to get in shape for the weekend. Was able to ski pow and bumps from 8:30-4:30 Saturday with just a quick break. If it was just my 4/5 day on the hill b/c I blew off all the other days waiting for the snow I'd have been a hurting pup at noon (like most other people that caused the lift lines and trails to be deserted after noon).
