Just up this AM on their web site.

"Mount Snow is closed for the skiing and riding. Thanks for a great season!"

Yesterday there was some chatter from admins about the possibility of next weekend if the weather cooperates.

Still have plenty of snow on the park features, but this weeks forcast and next weekend potentially WARM temps, access from the top of the lift down into the park features a hundred or so yards below was going to be an issue.

Can't complain personally, I hit 1st day, last day, and 53 other days in between :)

All in all, a great season! And IIRC, they're only closing one week earlier than last season? I want to say they closed 4/27 last year. If that's the case, they made a great run considering the lack of March snow this year.

Way to go out on a bang . . . Saturday and Sunday were spectacular (except if you were in search of moguls). I think we all got spoiled last year with the many March snowstorms.

I wouldn't be suprised at all to either see some of the snow from the hits on the bottom of Inferno being pushed over to the pipe in the next few days OR combining the hits on the bottom of Inferno into one HUGE pile and them having the Jam over there

Thanks for a great season! The Peace Pipe Jam will be at the bottom of Inferno actually this year as that is where the majority of the snow is. BBQ, DJ, Prizes, Beer Garden... Fun times in May are coming.

We finished on a high note as Sunday was a fantastic day at Carinthia. I've read many of the posts here regarding the bumbs vs. parks and the North Face not opening and I'm listening. I think seeding some bumps next year is a possibility.

I hope everyone can have safe and happy summer!! Visit us in the summer as we have a huge events schedule featuring festivals ranging from bikes, to blues to beers!!!

We plan on blowing the roof off this year's Brewers Festival!

+100!!! Can't wait for Labor Day Weekend and this years Brewer's Fest! And Greg, as I some what semi-drunkenly babbled to you at the Winter Brewer's Fest a few weeks ago, I think it would be GREAT if you could get One Jack Move back to play!

Mt. Snow delivered during the warmer months with the Brewfest and Oktoberfest. The Fall Harvest Fest down in Willmington/Dover was really nice as well. I'm bummed that the season is over, but there's a lot of stuff to do there off season.

As weird as this may sound to some, I find myself enjoying the Mount Snow region as much in the non skiing/riding season as I do in the skiing/riding season. Lots of great stuff to do year round there and the line-up of warm weather events that Mount Snow and the surrounding towns put on is fantastic.

I'll let Mountsnowfish chime in if I miss any, but they've got LOTS of mountain bike races, a Blue's Fest, a Blueberry Festival, a women's triatholon, Oktober Fest and my personal favorite, Brewer's Fest and that doesn't even get into the golf and water activites in the area too! (Dr. Jeff is now done acting as a pseudo employee of the greater Deerfield Valley Chamber of Commerce ;))

That sounds a lot like Killington back in the Preston Smith era. Skiing ran into June. You'd then have mountain biking, hiking, and golf. The tourons had a scenic lift ride. Your season pass allowed you to use the lift for free in the summer and it got you a discount on their golf course. Boating, swimming, & fishing. There were lots of weekend events: the Trike race, the Gatsby Party, an equestrian event, a big road bicycle race, a motorcycle weekend, a pro golf tournament.... You'd then slide into fall foliage season, blowing out the rats in the snowmaking system, and skiing by mid-October most years.

That's what convinced us to finally pull the trigger: "You know, there's a lot to do up here after the snow melts...."

My wife and I bought a place at Mount Snow back in early 2005 and we both concur with Dr. Jeff. We love the place all year round. The "off" season really isn't an off season at all. We mountain bike, road bike, hike, swim and just enjoy getting away from the crowds in Connecticut. I'd say we're up there at least every 2nd or 3rd weekend plus a couple of weeks in September. We enjoy watching the Mountain bike races during the summer. Last night we were just talking about the new Blues Fest to be held August 21-23, we’ll definitely be there. Elvin Bishop and Mavis Staples plus many more. These are GREAT acts for Mount Snow’s first Blues festival!
I find it amazing that so many people who have 2nd homes at the mountain totally ignore the place in Summer. We enjoy summer and fall as much if not more than winter.

+1 I'm constantly amazed in the summer that where my place is in Timbercreek, on you're typical winter weekend, you'll see cars out infront of roughly 1/2 to maybe as many as 2/3rds of the total of roughly 240 units will be occupied, whereas in the summer you might find 30 units occupied on the weekend and 20 of those 30 are from the "snowbirds"(folks who winter in Florida and summer up North).

I know some folks are diehard beach people and wouldn't think of going North until atleast foliage season, but generally speaking "ski country" has so much more going on for it than just winter sports!

Took a lot of arm twisting on my part to convince my kids of that fact. They just could not see the point in going to VT if they couldn't ski/board. I enticed them with fishing and hiking (huge boulders and waterfalls), but hooked them when a friend loaned us a couple of kayaks. They still prefer the skiing but will willingly head up for a few weekends in the summer.
