I've never been to Powder Mountain but heard its great. Im not a huge fan of the Park City side but I love the Canyons, there is some outstanding terrain over on that side. I can't wait to go back! Being right near a cool historic ski town is an added bonus.
Powder has great terrain - not super steep, but Snowbasin ( half way to Pow) has the steeps if you don't mind a little side country booting up Seven Sisters ridge line.

Its not going to last too long tho - appears they are building large homes a la Canyons at part of their base. And must have 4 wheel drive or chains - the access road is that long and steep. One week of 70" 3 yrs ago we broke a chain - missed the day - aonther we took 45 mins to ascend the access at full throttle going sideways at 7 MPH but made it - base is part way up the hill. Not much in Eden but wait 5 years - mountain sprawl seems to seep anywhere close to an airport. Pow Mow - maybe 1;15 mins away? Generally no lines there either. '18 was last time there tho.

powmow is just so big. sprawling. not super steep but if you want no lines and wide open powder filled meadow skiing, it fits the bill.

i didn't get to try their cat operation, closed when i was there - that stuff looks steep

not steep , but 15 yrs ago at $7 a run - not a typo- it was great 2-3 X a day. Now? Not sure how much but certainly not steep, as in 30-35 degree slopes

That's great. I didn't know that you could get a 50% discount on MC resort lift tickets with a season pass at one of their resorts. That's a nice perk.

Yea, Sugarbush had that perk for their pass-holders back before they were bought by Alterra. I never took advantage of it though...

I have skied Snowbasin and really loved it. I would like to go back again one day and spend more time there. The steeps are pretty good.
