If you like getting out hiking in the fall, think about joining one of the work days organized by a resort or a close partner. You might get a ticket voucher or maybe a BarbieQ. You improve the quality of BC/Slack skiing but more importantly, you get a first-hand knowledge of stashes and terrain that are hard to study when the snows fly.

- Saddleback has one but it's a bit more informal
- Thunderbolt/Greylock had their first in August. There will be more. I've inquired.
