Thanks for all the suggestions, definitely going to have to hit some of these places the next time I'm up in the MRV area. Had a great time the last time I went to the 'bush with a few friends, really liking the area.

American Flatbread Rte 100

One of my top 10 all time dining experiences ever.

I order a pepperoni .....amazing......

The pork meatball and garlic cheese were fab too:flag:

Ate at Egan's the other 2 nights.....

I recommend the Rotes Chicken, nice meal.

We also took a side trip to Burlington(rained Monday) and did the usual Vermont pub and brewery near Church St...which is always good.

Thanks folks.

Fried Clam bellies mmmmmm

What the heck was the name of that place again

Also last week on the advise given here I tried the hyde-away for dinner pretty good for the price paid. I also found the Hyde Away good for a drink after a nice day of skiing too.

If you feel like taking a ride over to Montpelier, Sarducci's has some kick-ass Italian food at really good prices.

Glad you enjoyed it!!! :D

yep...and I should probably add, I'm from RI...we're pretty serious around here about pizza pie. Very fussy.

We put our name in and were told about 8:30....we still waited 45 mins. My kids were whining "this better be good"......

Once we finally got in things quickly got better....everyone was friendly, made you feel like you were sitting down to a family meal. This didn't only include the hostess and our waitress but the pizza prep crew and even the guy feeding the pies into the open hearth oven. When we were done he was the one who noticed we hadn't completely finished the 3 pies(for 4 people, we like pizza) and offered to wrap up the leftovers.

Amazing.

The food was even better.

Next time you are off to the MRV you should do this flatbread thing. Get there at 4:30, put your name in and then go shop at the Iverness Ski Shop...another amazingly friendly place we found in Waitsfield....my kid blew all his dough on a sweet Descent rotate jacket...which was on steep markdown. Shop was also full of friendly people.

Folks at the Lion were friendly too, but you already knew that......

btw when we were in the Church st area in Burlington on Monday waiting out the rain we noticed another american flatbread location less than 1/2 block from the Vermont Pub and Brewery.

Maybe someone who has been there might chime in....

Enough about the chow hrstrat57. How about the skiing? Where's the trip report. Inquiring minds want to know. Even I want to know.
