There aren't words, my friends... there aren't words to describe the skiing today! So amazing. A solid 4-8+ inches all over the mountain, snowed hard starting around 1pm, and just freaking fantastic :D

There was definitely a crust beneath some of the steeper stuff, but it was certainly edgeable. The groomers were soft, the powder was nice, and most of the mountain was wide open. Northridge started loading around 11:00am.

It was COLD, but beautiful.

Enough talk... pix:

How did Upper FIS look?

Looked fine, but I rarely ski it. Who wants to ski FIS when you can ski Black Diamond???

Black Diamond skied well today. A little chunky... it needs a few more skiers. But good. You can definitely avoid the boney stuff.

Speaking of boney... Semi-Tough Woods were great with lots of pow, but they definitely need some more base. I definitely left a few marks in my bases!

Wayback Woods was great, though.

Wow, those are some awesome pictures. I love the view up at the top of ME, and you got an amazing shot. Those woods pics gave me a sharp little pang of envy that I'm not up today, but my skiing will have to wait until tomorrow. Shouldn't suck too badly, from what I hear. ;)

it sure was amazing on Friday. That was my first time there and I was blown away. I can't wait to go back!

Your pictures are much better than mine. All I had was my cell phone but I guess that's better than nothing. I loved being up past the clouds and seeing the other peaks just poking through. Quite a sight.

I probably won't be back there until I take my son back to school next month but I am already counting the days!
