I was thinking about heading up to tucks and or gos this weekend. i will be driving up from philly and camping so it all depends on the weather, the forecast for this weekend is making me very nervous. is anyone else headed up this weekend or have any insight on the weather?

I saw a few Sunday river folks that were going. It seems rain is coming mid to late afternoonish. Sunday a bit of sun in the am. Showers to rain Pm. Sorry. A few of us are going to Bretton woods if you don't want to take the hike.

Rain is in the forecasts I've seen from Sat PM on. May not be nice on Washington. Don't go unless prepared for the worst weather. It can be deadly up there. Seriously.

Also it is going to be cold. So there will probably be some snow and sleet mixed in.

I was originally planning on going this weekend but I decided that it wasn't worth it with the weather forecast. Even Sat AM is supposed to be cold and cloudy - not exactly ideal conditions since the snow won't soften up at all.

saturday AM is looking good now, the forecasts have changed. a high of 59 here in StJ which i suspect means solid 40s in the ravines with partly cloudy skies should equal good sliding weather. sunday doesn't look so good with almost guaranteed rain but i have skied tucks in light rain and it wasn't terrible. the other factor is this is the inferno weekend, guaranteed zoo, busiest weekend at tucks hands down. i am still undecided between GoS and hillmans, may come down to how many people are in the lot by 7am. if i can't get into the main lot that early, prob GoS. tough to call. i hate crowds, but i can normally deal with tux, not this weekend though. saturday if you can, earlier the better. no saturday? then i wouldn't bother.

The Inferno is fun to watch...
I usually hit TUX on Thurs,Fri the on Sat i hit the Lunch Rocks and watch the race..

And YES - I only hang near the bottom of the lunch rocks so i don't risk getting hit by falling ice and rock...

This year - can't make it up until early May... looks like a party trip...
