you looked a little stiff

You think? The only thing going through my head watching that was that 80's Styx song, "Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto..."

very cool to hear your girls cheering you on!

Made it all worthwhile. :) Seriously, it was fun. I'll do it again.

it must have taken a lot of self control to not throw in 8-10 short radius turns between gates ;-)

Indeed. Might have finished faster too.

It's like you modified bvibert's dumper air for a racing stance,

 Hilarious. I've never seen video of myself outside of bumps and whatnot. Holy moly! I'm definitely not impressed...

Okay Greg, here's what we need to do for your racing career. 1st off, no more running gates for you, unless it's 50+ degrees out and the snow is really soft and ALOT of folks have run the course before you. In those conditions, the ruts get DEEP, and the race course basically becomes a high speed bump run around the gates!

Now, if your going to run some more gates on hard snow, we need to get you actively involved in a tuning discussion ;)

Wow Greg..next thing you'll be getting a GS suit...I ran Nastar for the first time this season at Jackson Hole the other day and my first run I was just off Bronze and my 2nd run I was a solid bronze but 2 full seconds from silver. I'm still in the 20-29 year old age group which is tough..next year when I hit 30 will be better since I'll get to go against some geezers..

Cool vid! I'd love to take a few runs on a course. They had one set up this weekend at Snow, but the kids were using it for practice.

Good on you Greg for trying to expand the repertoire a bit. As riv alluded to, the nastar team really stepped it up for me. Still slowly improving in the gates, but I also need to spend more time in the bumps...

Double check. Many times the weekend runs which have kids all over it are actually NASTAR open family races. Every place I know that has NASTAR on weekends has that, generally a half a course for the kids and the such. Like 5 bucks for 2 timed runs, or 10 for unlimited.

greg, head to okemo. they have a triple chair "black ridge triple" i think, that goes up to mid-mountain. Right under that lift is a trail called "black out". it usually has seeded bumps on the top and then a nastar course on the bottom. you could lap that all day :)

Excellent. That's good to know!
