I don't get out to the theaters often enough because most movies these days are either remakes or not worth the money. I'm trying to decide from the 4 or maybe rent a dvd.

1) Don't mess with the Zohan
2) Incredible Hulk ofcourse, remake but looks good
3) Sex in the City
or The Happening

the happening. saw it last week. i liked it but didn't like walburg so much.

I thought about seeing the happening but I'm kinda leary of anything made by M. Night Shyamalan. I didn't care for his last movies but I heard this was the best one.

Zohan is funny.
I saw Zohan based on your recommendation. You owe me $8.00 and two hours of my life back!

don't bother with zohan.
What he said ^^^^

I'll say that it has its funny moments and some good humour but not worth a movie night out. More like a good movie to rent when its $1.50 for a week long rental.

What's annoying, if you have real young kids that require babysitting, is that so many theaters have start times of 8 PM or 10 PM.

I've found that 8 PM is too early, since there's no way to get the kids in bed beforehand, and 10 PM is too late, 'cause, by the time you get home from the movie, it's very late and the day starts up again a few hours later. For me, if I'm going to be that tired, I'd rather go out for dinner or for drinks with friends than to go see a late movie.

So, long story short, I agree that it's hard to find time/motivation to see movies these days....

Very few movies come out that warrant $8-10 to watch. Most are rentalworthy. The rare exception is a film that needs to be seen on a huge screen. We used to go to the matinee every weekend. Now, we might go to a movie 2-3 times a year tops.

although i didnt see in a theatre, i think the only movie i've watched in the last 5 years or so worth the price of admission would have to be No Country for Old Men. Hands down the best flick i've seen in a long long time.

edti: actually i'll have to add The Departed.

Yep, great flick. Coen Bros almost always exceed expectations.

If I had kids, I'd prolly go to the movies more often. A lot of the disny/kiddie flix look like fun and are prolly great to see on the big screen.

I'd hang by my thumbs before I'd watch that pile of steaming cinema.

'specially since they've already announced that the brown-haired chick isn't going to get nekkid.

That was the only reason I ever let that bloody show stay on.

that and my wife liked it...
