Last year, they announced the same date and ended up open a week later. However, this year is looking A LOT easier than last year if this weather keeps up.

personally, my legs are itching to get out on the slopes... A Nov. 5th opening would totally rock, to the max. Granted, probably only one trail will be open, but there is nothing like early season skiing just to get back in the groove.... C'mon snow!!!!!!!!!

I've gotten my wife worked up and excited enough to go. Skiing, that is. Get your minds out of the gutter. I think that if there are lifts turning within 4 hours of here next weekend, we'll be there.

I really like Okemo...but they have this "K-Mart" esque spin early in the year.

"We have seven trails open!!"

Errrahhhhh....ya, and you need to use the six trails to get to the one trail that's actually worth skiing. *sheesh*

But...when you're Jonezen...you're Jonezen...and there's only one real solution.

Friends I've talked to about their early season turns @ O have all good things to say.
