I just looked at the long range forcast and for the first time in as long as I can remember ALL of the temperatures for the next week are freezing or lower! The hill here is SO desperate to make snow they fired the guns back up this afternoon at 0 (32F for you americans) which is well....an extremely uneconomical temp to try to make snow at. Let's hope this is a trend!

From the Fox Report on MRG's site:
If arctic air plunges into the West as some of the model guidance indicates we could be in big trouble by the weekend of the 18 th since it would mean a re-strengthening of the east coast ridge and ultimately another big northward push of mild temperatures.

I know, I know it's a while off and they're wrong all the time. Just the fact that it's a possibility sucks though. I'm just saying that if this happens, I'm not going to be a happy camper. I think they're due to be wrong in favor of colder, snowier weather though. It seems like everytime they've been wrong it's been the other way around this winter.

Hey, there's probably the possibility that one of the major ski mountains in New England will erupt into a volcano.

It's not the possibilities that worry me, but the probabilities.
