Do you think were seeded?? Or formed naturally??

Much like the airbrushing controversy...

Does it really matter?

have pin, will travel...

I thought it was the air velocity of an unladen swallow?

All of which are very relevant to CT ski areas.

The short answer, Bill, is come on down and ski them just to say you did.

that is all.

I will ski them ONLY if they have ski pins I can put on my HAT. I'm up to ~46 unique resorts...

That's pretty cool, they still sell pins? Only shop I've been was at cannon, I recall seeing them at the shelves.

Yepper. I've done this since '78. The only areas I've found that don't have them in the Northeast are feeder hills (Bradford, Nashoba, Ward, and cheapo Berkshire East, all in Mass.)

I liked most of the originals better....
I agree. Was just posting it to make a point - most of what you see in media is not real. Everything is touched up. People are made to look thinner, tanner, younger... don't let your eyes deceive you, or you'll be looking for something that doesn't exist.

Doing it since '78.... how many of the 48 are still operating under the same name?

Sundown has pins, my daughter has one.
I would expect Mohawk might, would seriously doubt Southington .
Woodbury.....man, you never know with that guy.

Surprisingly most. I graduated from the smaller areas pretty quickly. It's only been in the past few years that I regret not having made it to many of the NELSAP. I remember a period when about five per year were closing. But...I wanted bigger back then. So it's only now I"m discovering the smaller areas are golden nuggets of suprise.

Hey MOD!

Can we change the name of this thread to "Drivel and Banter" and move it to the "Miscellaneous" folder?

I think I got the answer I wanted and nobody's gonna find anything in this thread without doing a Forum Search anyways!

:)
