Looking at the chair it sure seems it has to be South Ridge. The Jug?

edit: heh, beat me to it.

That pic was taken underneath the srt wear jug handle peels off.

Probably the most secluded 'on the map' place at kmart and the best place to be after a dump.

Based on looking at the trail map, that's The Jug and Jug Handle intersection with the South Ridge Triple overhead. You can just make out the trail names on the signs.

Yeah...as soon as I looked at that lift again, I knew I was way off. Your right...not wide enough to be DF. I really have to start looking at trail signs when I ski.

I was there the same day. I would not be exaggerating to say there was 12inches of fresh under that one windblown chair. I couldn't believe this wasn't tracked up on a New Years Eve Day at 2pm in the afternoon. Best east coast skiing of the season (well maybe upper pike at Pico was better that day).

Is that powder? I remember reading about that somewhere. They say it used to fall from the sky. Crazy idea.

That trail gets and holds snow with the best of them there. Last season just after New Years when there was only an inch or so of natural coating the rest of the mountain, that run had enough to open and actually was great with about 8 inches of nat. Run truly has character. Straight and fast!
