Over on PASR the energy is intense..everybody is like woo hoo we get to ski locally in a few days..I hope I'm never as jaded as you..

The top J1/2 racers at Blue are better skiers than 99.99% of the black diamond run skiers on a typical weekend at Phil's "home" hill for a reason. Heck, I'd feel like it was a case of child abuse to handicap my kid by only taking her skiing on weekends...but to each his own...

I hope that the bright spot of my day is never looking forward to night skiing at Blue.

More Blue stoke! I can't tell from the image but either Lazy Mile or Main Street is getting a nice layer or wrod.

Awesome!! I can't wait for Blue to open. Due to family commitments I will be spending more time at Blue this year than I ever have before.

GSS, any insider info on whether the new owners are planning on seeding more bumps? Late last season they seeded Challenge and it was great. We need more of that, there is no point in having two parallel trails, the only steep skiing at the resort, be flat the whole way down.

True-dat..they never did the 2nd grooming mid-day..it was typically 4:00PM or so..They would regroom Paradise, Lazy Mile and Switchback..maybe a few others...and last season they only did the 2nd time grooming a few times. Hauling ass up to Blue after work and getting to ski a few runs of fresh cord is MSY..

Main Street and Midway are getting most of the action and then a few guns going at the base of the Poconos coldest 6-pack..they can never have too much snow down there due to all the skier traffic and it gets direct sunlight..

Ski9..you should go back over to PASR..Papasteeze hardly posts and ThinkSnow still owns the site..

Another season of listening to a dozen kids saying "I haven't been to Sno but I know it sux" in every thread? PASR was fun when it was a small group of assheads, but it's just dumb now. I have over 10k posts on a soccer MB...that's my home. And Jeffy banned me for life, anyway...well, until I'm nice to Papapedosteeze, which would never happen.

And who could pull themselves away from the DMC "I don't want Belleayre to fail, I just want them to close forever and send customers to Hunter" thread? DMC loves his hill as much as I love mine.

And you retards yelling at that one poor guy for pointing out a double negative that was likely a DMC Freudian slip...

Okay, back to Drogba and Sir Alex and their three day ban issues....

It's ASSHEAD, not asshat...and, yes, an eye rolling smiley definitely wouldn't have not been totally semi-appropriate.

I love skiing Belleayre...one of the best stops on our race series was on Dot Nebel and was always one of the most incredible races of the year. But our family has had a similar issue come up with our own small community ski hill. Eh, different mechanics to the problem, but it makes me a bit more empathetic to people who live and work in the area, as opposed to people on the outside just shooting their mouth's off. I hate Hunter with a passion and with very legit reasons. And Hunter would have to open their books for me to feel sorry for them. But just like my community dues just paid for a new Magic Carpet, I have to respect how you want your tax dollars spent.

What did Blue do to you? Or are you hating cause Paradise and Switchback were too steep for you?
You must wanted to get a post in before your bus came to go to school, are you in 9th or 10th grade?

Actually, I have no problem with the mountain per say but more the way they choose to run and maintain it. No one can turn snow to ice as fast as blue. The place is packed down to solid ice with ice crystals on top that they call snow but act more like granulated sugar or even quicksand. Blue is not skiing, it is surviving. If Blue was the only place there was to ski, bowling would be a fine alternative.
