Ok so some of this is still set as default settings which I haven't played with too much so bear with me as I'm learning this also.

Xenforo has a "user title ladder" similar to what Vbulletin had, but you can make it based on Points instead of on just quantity of messages (i.e. posts)

You can earn Points by earning Trophies, each of which has a varying amount they are worth. I should probably add in some new ones.

You can see how it's setup here for alpinezone and if I add new Trophies (and points), you will see it reflected later.

Trophies

You can earn trophies by carrying out different actions. This page shows a list of the trophies that are available.

Here are some criteria that can be used:

Content and achievements
User has posted at least X messages:
User has posted no more than X messages:
User has added at least X media items:
User has created at least X albums:
User has solved at least X questions:
User has solved no more than X questions:
User has received a reaction score of at least X:
User reaction score to messages ratio is at least:
A user with 10 messages and reaction score of 5 will have a ratio of 0.5.
User has at least X trophy points:
User has been registered for at least X days:
User has not visited for at least X days:
User profile and options
Avatar:
User has an avatar
User has no avatar
Two-step verification:
User has enabled two-step verification
User has not enabled two-step verification
Activity summary email:
User has activity summary emails enabled
User has activity summary emails disabled

Update: drjeff and thetrailboss also have 48 points us 4 are leading AZ membership by 10 points.

In addition, I am the runaway winner in the reaction category with 51, nobody else is close.
