Last weekend on Paradise at MRG was a father with his probably five or six year old daughter. She is coming over the waterfalls. Dad is kind of laying into her to speed it up, etc. The girl ends up sliding out and then slides 15 yards face first down the mogul field. Before she even stops sliding the dad is yelling "you're fine, get those skis back on and lrtz get going"

All I can think is that this girl will probably end up despising the sport as she gets older

I was behind an elderly woman at the customer service counter at Wachusett yesterday. She was venting at the poor girl at the counter about how expensive a day of skiing was with all the rental and ticket charges. The thing that really got her mad was having to pay to rent helmets for the kids. Yes lady, skiing is expensive.

Exactly like that! Tears of laughter...

Chinese Downhills were frequent growing up and even now as an immature adult I sometimes cave to the peer pressure of somebody announcing "Chinese Downhill!!!" at the top of a run. If the trail is clear, they're a hoot!

Saw an older guy wearing a bright pink, purple and teal starter jacket. Wearing the tightest jeans I'd ever seen. The best part was that he rolled his jeans up Capri style above the top of his boot. Must have had some wet feet.
