Promises made should be kept. Some web sites (including AlpineZone) are great about keeping their promises to readers. When they say something will happen, it does. Other sites on the internet have a terrible time keeping their promises. Things promised do not happen within the time frame offered by their owners, and sometimes never happen.

I am now faced with a situation that requires me to make a promise to the readers of my site, the readers that look forward to frequent updates and additions. As many know, I am having shoulder surgery on my dominant arm on Friday June 17, 2005. Because of this surgery, updates to my site will be delayed.

I hope to be able to resume updates to my site in late summer, early fall. While I can not predict and set a reliable time frame for this to occur, I promise and assure you that it will occur as soon as I am physically able. I hope that this date is sooner rather than later.

Sincerely,
Laurie

Ah, I think you're talking about Chris and his "Awaking The Sleeping Giant" news article.

Yeah, I prefer to put in the work, then announce, but what can you do.

Waiting for his update is just a minor irritation.

No actually, I was not talking about Chris, but if the shoe fits.....

I was, in fact, referring to the many sites I have visited that boast "Coming Soon..." and then it never comes.

There is a lot more to my life than just ski sites. There are many sites I go to on music (particularly, clarinet related); on education, math, English, special education, DOE, Mass ED,etc., on the community, history, terraservers, etc.

I take pride in my site and my updates. I have promised my readers that frequent updates will be made and I follow through with it. Not knowing how long my surgery was going to keep me from updating (particularly since it was my right arm), I wanted to let my readers know that there might be some delay.

Sorry, but it just wasn't SJ I was talking about here.
