For me, C.

Five days so far is about average. Low tide conditions, but options.

Alta gets an A-. They opened one week late, but have good cover overall, lots of options, and three main lifts going. They have been open everyday since Saturday with no major issues. Aggressive terrain expansion. Snowmaking effort has been there. Good job!

Snowbird gets a C-. Late to the snowmaking game, but opened with Gadzoom and the Tram on the scheduled open date. Decent opening day festivities, but not as much energy as other years. Only one route though and it was narrow, icy, and not quite on par with other early season openings. Optimism though with snowmaking and this weekend's storm. And not too crowded with ski patrol keeping folks in check. Only a bit below expectations.

Brighton gets a C. They are open with about what one would expect for an opening week--Majestic and Explorer with 2-3 routes. Great energy and vibe. However, Brighton almost always gets first to open credit for the state and they let Solitude claim that title this season. Arguably, they could have been open as early as November 10th/11th. That said, their many construction projects, including a new 6-Pack and Lodge, will be gamechangers for the rest of the season.

Judging by the pictures and reports, I expect some of you are killing it so far.

4 or 6 days if you let me count a September and October visit to Big Snow in the Meadowlands. 4 days in Colorado over Thanksgiving week. 3 Copper's and 1 Eldora. Eldora actually had multiple ways down off the six an felt much less like the WROD that Copper did. Slow start to the Colorado season but looking like that might change this up coming week.

A lot of riding the small bumps on the edge of the trail like this drop at Eldora

Now back on the East Coast till March. Blue Mountain opens today so I wait till the opening weekend hoopla dies down and hit the snow next week while I waiting for my home bump for Camelback to open.

I was considering going to Jack Frost tomorrow, but pretty sure my wife would kill me since I have a lingering home improvement project that needs to be finished. Plus I'm doing a 3 day weekend in VT next weekend. I can wait for some "big boy" skiing I guess :ROFLMAO:

My wife just got me a 2 day epic local to possibly use at wildcat next week after new boots(her idea). I don't deserve her so any good gift ideas are welcome. 😉

B-

Skied in November for the first time in a while, and it's great to get out there with decent enough conditions for November. Limited runs tho (Wachusett). Not thrilled at all with my new boots.

One day (at Wachusett), and on run 2 started getting some bad left ankle pains which had never bothered me prior. Stretched it good and was able to start charging a bit harder but have since been limping around all week and walking up/down stairs kills. Hopefully not something I have to deal with all winter. Also watching Northern VT get 2'+ while I am stuck at work with no chance to really get up there really sucks.

Crossing my fingers with the Monday storm as I will be off for one day on Tuesday and hope to get some goods.

Ill give it an A just because its my first season in Utah so I’m biased to the rating. Already at 11 days so far with many more to come. Had an amazing day at Alta, and pretty decent conditions for early season everywhere else. Today was great at Park City, no one on the mountain and been coming down pretty heavy all day. Tomorrow and Sunday should be awesome as well.

4 days so far, 3 more on deck the next 3 days. Some soft snow here and there, more white ribbon of death stuff. 2hrs or so and done type days to get the ski specific muscles some use before prime season hits.

Great seeing my ski friends again for sure after the Summer

Day count good at 5. Thanksgiving was average, but the 6”+ that Stratton got on Sunday night led to a very nice Monday, and with more snow and snowmaking this week, a very nice today/Friday. stratton even channeled some Magic vibe and opened Liftline on natural. Left pic Monday, right pic Liftline today.

My home mtn opens tomorrow and I've been too cheap to buy a ticket but the forecast looks pretty good and I'll ski Monday, Tuesday Wednesday next week. Here's to hoping I can do 3 in a row coming off the summer

Today was #16

SR - 9
Loon - 4
K - 2
Ragged - 1

Likely most days ever on Dec 1. No early season will ever measure up to 2005 but there is a certain quality in quantity.

Was at Stratton for day 1 yesterday. Perfect weather day, good coverage and terrain expansion so I'd give it a solid B, especially for this early in the season.

First day for the Snow Bowl chair and a mid-day rope drop on Liftline. Natural snow was heavy, but got skied in and was great by later in the day. Over 30k vert first day out. Legs are cooked!

6 days in, would rate it a B but Day 6 at Sugarbush on 11/30 with Castlerock debuting pushed it to an A. Fantastic and while a bit dampened for the front of the weekend, those of you able to play Mon/Tues, looking pretty sweet. Have fun!!

Bit of a late start - no Oct. skiing again.

Normal Peak Stairway at Killington until almost Thanksgiving. Minimal terrain elsewhere thru Thanksgiving. Things are picking up in early December.

Not sure when early season ends, but if it is Xmas week, the early season still has time to move up. But to date, I'd rate it C to C-.
