Um.... probably not too much of the bumps. If you saw me Tuesday night you'd understand... ;) I'll probably give em another shot though...

It's all about the miles. I used to force myself through bump runs no matter how many times I crashed. Trial by fire! I did 15+ runs down Nor'easter Sunday night, after probably the same the Wednesday before. A dozen or so more runs tomorrow night, and maybe.....just maybe I can keep up with Jim and Doug down Claire's on Monday... ;)

I'm trying to make it to Sundown Friday night too - you and me can cruise the rest of the mountain while these guys enjoy the bumps; those things eat me up! ;)

I'll see if i can get out too. 4 times in 2 weeks might be pushing my luck though.

If you guys go tomorrow, I might head out there. Assuming the bumps are worth it.

Let me know tomorrow afternoon if you guys are still planning on going.
According to both the online and snowphone ski reports, the bumps remain on Nor'easter and must be as gnarley as ever. I'll be there around 7 pm. The plan is to meet at the summit at 7:30. Brian may be later, but I can pick him out on the mountain. So far Catul, Brian and I are in. Any other takers? Marc? 2knees?

Thursday night might make for a decent night session, especially if we get some significant snow. Anyone else game?

Thursdays are a no-go for me. If you go hopefully its like it was tonight, there was NO ONE there. Seriously, there were like 20 cars in the main lot. The snow looked decent too, I didn't go out though so I don't know first hand.

Ice skates would have been better. I wish i could do bumps as well as you. Clairs would make a nice downhill though.

Thanks Slug. I just started to get the hang of them the past few seasons. Still a ton to learn, but I'm getting there. I think Jim's suggestion on Monday was a good one - work on cranking short and snappy, yet consistent turns on the groomers. Force yourself to do it and once you can bang out several runs without missing a turn, then find some low-angle, preferably seeded bump runs to play in.

Off to New Hampshire on Sunday...

The forecast is calling for all snow with 3-5" possible tomorrow. According to the ski report, the bumps are still set up on Nor'easter. I hope to be there tomorrow by 7 pm and will do endless laps on the mogul run. Anyone is welcome to join me.

Driving up to a friend's place at Sunapee tomorrow evening, hope they get a good amount of snow up there for some fine skiing on Friday :)

Enjoy the bumps at Sundown!

I also have one other little prob to overcome. Learning to ski bumps well at 41 is a little harder than when most people learned. I am game though, even if it hurts like hell later on.

 Sorry, bud. My bad. I just suspect that the ride home from work tonight will be a bit tricky so I think getting up there by 7pm will be unlikely. Tomorrow night works better for a few reasons. Any chance you can sneak out of work early to make some runs?
