In light of comments made about my new ski outfit, I have to ask,........what's your fashion sense when it comes to ski clothing?
Does it make you smile or roll your eyes when you see some thing a bit outside the box?
The weekend was Great and I totally rocked my new ski outfit!!

If you saw me, you know it. :)

Um, I know I should shut up but..... Is that what's in style now?

Up to the individual. Me? I'm pretty vanilla when it comes to fashion, whether skiing or everyday life. Only thing all that 'stylish' I wear is that I appreciate a nice watch.

I have very little fashion sense. My wife and kids tease me about it all the time. It always strikes me funny that if you hang onto trendy clothes long enough, they come back in style. It always strikes me as either lemming behavior by consumers, or money-grabbing by manufacturers. I find myself saying, "that's a perfectly good shirt..."

I have no problem with clothes or gear outside the box as defined by US standards. Having traveled around the globe a little bit, my sense of "weird" has been redefined, inasmuch as most of the fashion "stretch" I see in western countries is nothing compared to many societies.

Trek, I like the outfit as well.

I don't feel right unless I am rocking my Sessions hounds-tooth ski pants. Ask Greg about them, they are rad. Honestly the hounds-tooth pattern (gray and black) is barely noticeable. I have an Arc Teryx jacket that is solid navy blue. I blend in pretty well. But I am not opposed to brighter colors and odd patterns. The only thing I see on the hill that I hate is those lifesaver looking jackets. Yuck.

Works for me! Especially if you've got the skills to back up a bold, expressive outfit! +1 TC!!!

Now park rats with their pants down around their knees, well that's another story ;) ;)

Also, anyone wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets or New York Yankees Team jacket on the hill needs a public flogging IMHO ;) :flame:  (Note: New England Patriots or Boston Red Sox wearing folks deserve to have a beer bought for them ;) :) )

I like it, as should you. I rarely see something that I dislike.

I was just thniking the other day how cool it would be to have custom clothing much like skis. You could get measured, pick the patterns, weight, style of the outfit. Stuff like zippers could be absolutely bombproof, it even could be designed to expand a little if you eat too many chicken fingers and twinkies. This could be the future, I would personally spend a little extra.

I love your sense of style! You should post the S.O.S. down jacket, too! ;) If I had the moolah and the figure for it, I would be wearing something a lot more interesting than what I do.

 Nice option!

Seriously, I'd be surprised if there isn't already a high end option like that. It would be pricey, but great way to personalize.

Fashion. More important to women than men. After all, it HAS to match! For me, well made, functional clothing. Don't care how old it is, if it still does what its' designed to do.

I don't know but if you took away the pro-skiers, middlemen, ski shops, and 75% of the advertising you'd be eliminating quite a bit of the pie which some could be passed to the consumer in both price and quality. This could be run online, people taking there own measurments (there must be a way) with careful instruction-that would eliminate the need for prime real estate. I honestly don't know jack about clothing design but just a thought that came about after taking a couple puffs and skiing alone on long slow lifts

That's not my style TC, but as long as you like it who cares? I tend to be pretty boring with my clothing selections, usually selecting colors that more or less blend in. I've been trying to not be quite so boring though, the closest I've got is the red jacket I bought last season. The white helmet gets a lot of comments too..

Right where I want to be
Function/cost over fashion. I can not stand when I see someone wear clothing that has no right being on a mountain. Long T's hanging to their knees, zip up sweatshirt hoodies, or in my day leather jackets and jeans.
