Given that there is only a few more weeks to ski, I am looking to start subscriptions to Ski magazines read about skiing while I can't ski. Hence starting to think which magazines offer interesting insights into the following that I enjoy reading and seeing:

Ski resorts information about new developments and improvements
International ski events and results
Ski vacation destinations
Interesting articles about and by top skiers and adventures
Tips for improvement in skiing, boot fitting, etc.
Gear and accessories comparison would be a plus.

I have come across Ski magazine, Skiing, and Powder so far.

These magazines publish one issue near the end of the season (April? May?) and then not again until late summer (September?). Not much for summer-time stoke.

I heard that everyone at Skiing was given their walking papers. It was owned by the same company as Ski and I believe Skiing is no more. Buy some books on resorts and watch a ski movie now and then.

Better yet buy some ski movies. The summer editions are always lame...usually about where to ride horses, hike, watch concerts, etc. Gag, gag. Show me snow...

I think I already recieved my spring(last) editions for all my skiing magazines.Next issues are usually in September.

I think I did as well. Maybe one more to go. Nothing special. This year I had the big 3 (Ski, Skiing and Powder). Powder is still my favorite. The others make for some good reading in the porcelain office. I don't think I'll be resubscribing...We'll see if I get a freebie somewhere. I hear there are great discounts online for mags these days too, but like Gregg said, AZ definitely helps to quench my thirst.

- rent some Warren Miller from Netflix.

I just got a renewal for ski mag for $5. Got it last year for free from NASTAR. I wonder what's going on over there?

If you can afford it, skiing heritage is just a great quarterly.

Ski Journal is a new one out there that is really good. They only come out with 4 issues a year but they are all really good. Coffee Table quality with big glossy pictures - Kinda reminds me of the direction some surf mags have taken. Hard to find at the moment but they are growing (they just put out their 2nd issue). There was a big article on Jay in the last issue with big glossy pics. real quality ski port.
