i don't believe that for a second. unless you mean the reason being something like the battery is dead or my starter is blown, then i agree those are reasons for the car not starting.

Well, I'm sorry none the less. I think I'll take my car in for a tune up before the season starts for me. Make the best out of the day.

heh, the ironic part of the whole thing is this: i cancelled a car appointment on wednesday to hit cannon. chances are the problem might have been noticed at that point as i was requesting a few odd things done but mostly wanted the shop to give the car a preventative look to make sure it was good to go for the winter.

a good dose of irony always makes me chuckle even when it's at my own expense.

ESPECIALLY when it's at my own expense!

.......

I know the feeling....preventive maintenance is #1 after ....?..I usually said October in the past.. I've been extra busy this last week, have only gotten the toe section on my Freerides secured on my Elans... , and as I haven't put together the ski-bench, had the HEADs tuned at local shop...haven't been able to pick them up until today!... . Oh well, Austin skied it all off Friday morning anyways, think I'll head over to Kmart for tomorrow...
*EDIT: Got everything put together...will make it to the Cat tomorrow morning...

I think I be able to make there real opening(Nov. 25) and hopefully it will be as good

you're right. tomorrow will still be day three :D :p

first time replacing a battery. w00t. they don't make it easy unscrewing the lock down bar, that's for sure. sometimes big hands aren't much fun. two trips to the hardware store later, i finally had the correct sized wrenches!

Replace that thing every five years now so you don't get stuck on a powder day again  .

for sure greg! those pics look fantastic and i wasn't slighting your day or the beast at all. i have missed similar days before due to various issues and it's usually all good. i've missed two pow days in recent history due to car trouble and it's the worst feeling in the world. at least it wasn't snowing in StJ yesteday to really rub it in

I had something similar (in that it messed up a ski trip)happen to me when I owned the "CAR FROM HELL" Mazda 626. It had a chronic problem. In real cold weather the tires would de-rim as I drove. They would be fine when I left my yard or work, I would always check them. I'd get about a half mile away and one would de-rim (on one occasion 2 did...that was the last straw).

I had taken this car to the dealer 1000's of times, in fact, they kept it overnight during a cold spell. Nothing happened when they had the car, come to find out, they had it in the garage at night. I finally got them to listen to me when one tire de-rimmed as I was entering their lot.

Well, one morning, I was supposed to meet a Bus to go skiing at Mt. Snow. This happened. There was no place available at 5 am to fix it. I ended up calling my sister to take me to meet the bus (she loved that call at 5 am). During the day my car was "fixed". A new tire was mounted. All four were checked.

The next morning, I was getting ready to go to the small area where I work. Two tires derimmed as I drove up my hill, right in front of the garage where it had been worked on the day before. I'd had it. I took a picture of it and after they fixed it I cautiously drove to the dealer. When I got there a different tire de-rimmed.

I was going to need to get 4 new rims, and 4 new tires. When they put it on the lift to do this they noticed a crack in the transmission and a problem with the differential. It would have cost big money to fix it, so...I looked at new cars and bought a new Subaru from their sister dealership...right next door.
