So even Wolf Trap lists the concert on their website as "Postponed" and not "cancelled".

So I think ticket-center's response is accurate. Until the show is officially cancelled, the tickets are still "valid" for the new date of the show (whenever that is announced). So if ticket-center can't get a refund from Wolf Trap because they don't consider the show cancelled, no surprise they're not willing to give you a refund.

I don't think you've been scammed...although I do think it is wrong to "postpone" an event essentially indefinitely. Either come up with a date...or cancel it.

And even Wolf Trap's own FAQ says they won't issue a refund unless the event is completely cancelled:
No refunds will be given unless a performance is cancelled in its entirety, with no replacement performance scheduled.

Seeing Dogs in a Pile tonight and perhaps tomorrow too. Probably the last time they play the Stone Church as they're starting to be well known.

I was expecting at least one Jerry tribute tonight, but now maybe The Band too

RIP Robbie Robertson 😔

Only one member of the band left. Believe Garth Hudson was the oldest of them as well.

While I appreciate The Band's historical significance, I've never really "got them". I hate that all these greats are aging out and seemingly aren't being replaced...

Wife and I remembered we have tickets to the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the end of September. Bruce Springsteen tonight. I'm sure it'll be a well performed show, but I just don't know Bruce's music. I tried "studying up" a little, and there is just so much. Going with good friends, so Good friends + good music = a good time!

Updated Summer Concert List

7/25 Phish - Mann Center Philthydelphia. Pit Tix! Good show, not great. Crazy how low the moving light rig comes to the stage I feel like it was only 10 feet above me in the pit!
7/29 My Morning Jacket - Anthem DC. This place is a really really nice indoor venue. Owned and designed by the people who own the 9:30 club. Show was great, venue is even greater!
8/16 Bruce Springsteen - Philthydelphia. We have good friends who are hard core fans. This is more or less checking off a box for me. I'm sure it'll be fun
9/15 moe. - Club XL Harrisburg
9/17 Trey Anastasio Band - Riverfront Park Harrisburg. Really cool venue right along the Susquehanna River.
9/27 Red Hot Chili Peppers - Hershey Park Stadium. Lousy venue, but local. I hope the Chili Peppers are a littler better than when I saw them in Sept 2022 in Philthydelphia.

I love Springsteens music, Darkness on the Edge of Town and Born to Run are two of my favorite albums of all time. Listened to Darkness all the way through driving through the middle of nowhere South Dakota and it was quite the memory.
He puts on a great show so even if you don’t know the music you will have a good time.

“it’s not about Bruce’s music and never has been. It’s about the idea of Bruce Springsteen and what he sings about. THAT is what people connect with.” … agree 100% … seems like it is mostly jam band fans here … anyone into heavy metal or punk ?

Can't stand Bruce personally...

I'm a big fan of hard rock and some heavy metal though...some bands I've seen in concert in the past include Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Slipknot, Sevendust, Korn, Rammstein, A7x, Volbeat, Mudvayne, Linkin Park.

I've also seen a number of classic rock shows...Clapton multiple times, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foreigner, The Doobie Brothers, ZZ Top, Journey, "The Doors of the 21st century" (I believe that was the name Manzarek and Krieger were using at the time).

I like heavy music as well. Was bummed I missed the Pantera show in Hershey 12 days ago. That was my first day of vacation and that was planned well before the concert was announced.

Big fan of Clutch almost pulled the trigger to go see Queens of the Stone Age in DC on Monday night. Coming off a week of vacation and another concert already this week I wussed out and am sort of regretting it...

I saw Pantera way back before Dimebag was killed. Saw them in Philly on the "Extreme Steel Tour" the night after I saw Eric Clapton at MSG in NYC. Just a little bit of different styles between those two shows lol.

Nice to see we have a couple rockers in here. I also saw Pantera a couple times back in the day, including Ozzfest 2000. Last show I saw was the Stadium Tour at Fenway last summer, there was a torrential downpour and they cleared the seats and jammed everyone into the narrow concourse for an hour to shelter from the lightning (Poison photos not mine)

That article was pretty trash in my opinion, speaking to people whose minds are already made up. Bruces albums from Greetings-Born in the USA are great lyrically and musically. He says that saxophone takes up more of the music than guitar and guitars are buried in the mix so he obviously hasn’t listened to most of his actual music. Can name many songs where saxophone is barely in it at all. Also Bruce isn’t the most proficient singer but his voice serves the songs and thats what matters to me. He can play the guitar very well and has lots of great solos, “The Wild and Innocent” album is very guitar driven especially songs like “Kittys Back”. Also says Bruce doesn’t know how to strip back a song and play just guitar/harmonica…he has an entire album “Nebraska” recorded on a 4 track with nothing but guitar vocals and harp. Says saxophone doesn’t rock…listen to “Jungleland” and tell me sax has no place there. As to his critique the songs are linear with no interesting changes, listen to “Thunderclap” unreleased from before his first album and you’ll hear a song that goes through multiple key/time signature changes. As to saying his voice has no power or range…listen to “Backstreets”. If you can’t tell I am a big fan and that article was not at all accurate to reality. Personally I actually think Bruce is a d-bag nowadays and his music has become extremely watered down, but his early stuff is excellent.

Love me some Iron Maiden, Sabbath, Rainbow (with Dio), Priest to name a few. Also Black Label Society, Anthrax, Motorhead and Tool.
While I like some punk not always the 70's stuff but the "newer" 80's into the 90's like The Offspring, black flag, Suicidal Tendencies.

I may not agree with the entire article, but overall I think it is pretty decent and accurately sums up how a lot of anti-Bruce people feel. I've never found anything interesting or complex about either his lyrics or music. He may have a few good songs here and there, but I think his overall repertoire is overrated and boring.

There were actually a lot more brutal articles out there that I refrained from posting, but I largely agree with those as well. Not going to go in-depth here as I don't think either of us is going to change the other's mind 🤣

To each their own! I can definitely see how Bruce is viewed as watered down music.

Tool is one band that I'm deeply disappointed I've never managed to see in concert yet...
