I could should cancel my subscription and just come here for the updates.
I am all about supporting small ski businesses. I bought a pass to Holiday Mt more because I felt I should support the cause, then because I expect to be wowed by skiing there this season. Skiology doesn't deserve support.

I saw on his Facebook page that he is “stepping back” from directly running things and instead relying on “employees”. The latter is news to me….

Awesome.

I'm heading up to meet with Mike this weekend. As the season is getting close, he's hoping for some extra exposure. Happy to help.

Going to try to convince him to leave something dedicated to bumps.

You guys care way too much about this guy!

Agree. The subscription thing IS the answer. Think about it.

You missed the joke entirely!

There’s no need to go to that other site because you get a blow by blow report of what’s posted on the skiologu site!

This site is so starve of interesting topics it goes page after page trashing another site. I’m not on the skiology site. But it’s clear some people find it useful. So why not just let them be?

good point on lack of existing topics.

This Douche Bag Matt dude is such a blow hard phony, that its hard not to make fun of.

He's essentially doing what Midnight Jester is doing in his weather thread (Which I appreciate by the way). The difference being MJ's not coming off like an expert rehashing other peoples information. Oh, and he's not charging for it either.

Also MJ is not banning people who disagree with him from this site

"nowcasting". 😂
People in this thread are right - he's just so easy to make fun of. Nowcasting, sleet hunting, telling people to stay off the roads as he drives to 600' base Berkshire East to pow hunt an elevation dependent storm...

Don't forget considering himself "media" and therefore exempt from travel restrictions during COVID...

That is the biggest thing that keys you into his true character…I don’t know him personally but he really strikes me as a rules for thee not for me kind of guy

Quite honestly, I have to give Matt some credit on this. Through his "Skiology Club", included with a $24/year premium subscription to Skiology, he's built a growing network of discount partners on tickets/gear. So far, Stratton/Magic/Bromley are all on it with a 50% off ticket (the former two weekdays only, though), as well as Titus in upstate NY, Southington in CT, and Berkshire East/Catamount. Next season I'm definitely considering subscribing - I don't particularly care for his "journalism" and associated antics, but the storm reports are nice and six of the seven partners are within two and a half hours of me.
