Are the smaller areas taking a big hit with this warm weather? If so it will hurt. They had a very nice start. Now alot of them have to see what there snowmaking systems can do to bring them back.

Kind of also depends on what their snowmaking systems did prior to now too!

Altho closed today for too soft conditions --My regional hill Titus Mtn ( 1250 vert) in Northern Dacks reported an 18-40 inch Base today. Titus is usually pretty conservative in reporting .

Prior to this Normal January thaw warm up ,the base was huge and saturday when i skied last ther there was 5 inches of fresh pow left ungroomed it was AWESOME. My point january thaws are normal and this year the snow pack was so good titus hasn't had a snow gun on since well before the holidays ----KEEP the Faith ---ther's PLENTY of winter left

Too early to tell; The proof in the pudding will be how many "trails" remain open on Saturday, when it gets cold again...

Did YOU pay homage to Ullr today????

Rock on Ski Sundown!!!

Plenty of base at the local haunt, Ski Sundown, here in CT. They took advantage of the cold we had last week and stockpiled a lot of snow. 96 guns blasting on a mountain this size is an impressive amount of firepower. They have a big pile at the base and one at the summit and the whales they blew around the mountain haven't been fully pushed over yet. They will make it through this brief warm-up just fine. The troughs in the bumps are taking a hit however...
