Just interesting story:

http://www.azfamily.com/news/Was-that-snow-in-Phoenix-192183731.html

The wintry mix fell for 30 or 40 minutes but left a white blanket that baffled drivers, curious kids and long time Valley residents for the better part of two hours.Technically weather experts refer to the slushy precipitation that fell in Phoenix as "graupel" -- heavily rimed snow particles often called snow pellets; often indistinguishable from very small, soft hail.
But to the layperson, it was snow.

My office has a 2nd location in Phoenix, and I was just on the phone with a guy and he says to me "We just got dumped on with snow!" and I said, "Can you define dump?" and he says almost 1" of snow.

The most he has seen in Phoenix in 20 years and the first snow in over 12 years.

I've been to Phoenix a few times in the last couple of years.. It's hard to imagine it ever getting cold enough there to snow.

When I was doing bird research up on the Mogollon Rim in AZ (1995), I got to our research site on May 6th, and was wandering around trying to find a place to put up my tent for the next 3 months. It started to snow, and I figured "Right Here" was a good spot. That was the first time I'd ever heard thundersnow It snowed a good 3 feet, and hung around for a couple of weeks.

Two months later, I found a perfect spot, with 4 equidistant trees and excellent drainage about 5 feet over.

It's all about climate change my friends, for the past years our climate is getting weirder and weirder all over the world.

Our climate has always been weird, it's just that humans have only been around for a small fraction of the time to observe it.

Are you suggesting that we have not at least, played some roll in the recent weirdness?
