All right. You caught me--I pose for ski area websites

Yeah, that guy/gal is wearing white gloves though...so as much as it looks like me, it isn't.

We've had the topic before, I know, and this doesn't, I think, qualify as a "lie" per se, but it's pretty bad, particularly considering BEast's issues with reports in the past...

It's kind of funny, too. But oh, how we all wish it were true...

We actually threw this topic to the BEast in their challenge and I think they might have gotten the point.

The problem is that the marketing department puts out the reports the night before and the ski patrol may close things the next morning. Also, they mention how the trails are longer as opposed to being cut into "Upper and Lower" which is deceiving (part of a trail closed while the other is open...how does one report that?) Two problems that are the nature of the beast (and no pun intended).

He gave a pretty good explanation, I think. The thing on the website is just a lazy site host, I think. I did have to stop and think when I saw it though, and wonder if it might possibly be true.

Form's not as good, either.

Not everyone can ski as well as Trailboss!  (Just kidding)

Thanks for the comment, though. My form has really improved thanks to my skis and some good lessons this season at Sunday River. If you note, and Bob R will be sure to remind you, I'm on my shorty-sticks in that photo...the ones that have a turning radius of like 12 m and are soooooo fun! They really have helped me with carving my bigger sticks.

I like the short boards because I can fit them in my car if I want to take a few runs. They're also great for smaller places because I can get a lot of good turns in a short distance.
