That's right. That's what is in HPD's picture. What I saw on Washington was actually with the sun to my back, and was actually straight up refracted light just like what you would see with water mist.

Yeah. Pretty often. Sober.....most of the time. Not always as brilliant and impressive as in HPD's pic, but it's pretty common. The sky is one of my favorite things. (That sounds pretty hippy now don't it?)

I was thinking pretty dumb. But I guess hippie and dumb can be used interchangably.
