And the news of the day, Woodbury has started making snow!

whiteface has said that tonight they are starting- no pictures from me however because I live 400 miles away right now and could only send pictures of newark.

A friend called me last night to confirm that they did start blowing snow at WF. I havn't been able ot come up with a pic yet.

I just got back from the I Love New York/ORDA media junket in Manhattan this evening with JimG. The Belleayre rep indeed said they plan to make snow tonight. I believe Hunter too. Jiminy also mentioned on their site today:

On the whiteface webcam you could for a while pick up the distinct cloud rising from the guns but not now...
oh well...I'm in detroit and it's snowing (a little) so that will have to do.

Not a whole lot of detail in terms of expansion, improvements. Nothing beyond what we already know. More of a meet and greet kind of thing. Jim and I pitched the forums and encouraged rep participation.

I was surprised at the lack of presented info...it was more of a meet and greet schmoozfest. The info was there if you wanted to dig around for it, but it was nothing that we didn't already know from AZ.

Hunter talked mostly about real estate development.
Belleayre talked about the new HSQ.
Catamount and Thunder Ridge talked about the skiing experience and the family environment they nurture.
Windham talked about their new HSQ and restaurant.
Whiteface and Gore touted expanded snowmaking.

Everyone wanted the press to write about them and encourage people to ski in NY.
Other than that kind of white bread stuff, people seemed to mostly eat and drink alot.

Didn't mean it that way...I just expected more in the way of a focused message from each resort, a hook that they would refer back to each time someone came to talk to them.

As for the eating and drinking, no complaints here.
