SRO, this is one of my favorite recent ones to deal with the weather. It's done by Halley O'Brien, who was Mount Snow's snow reporter last season, and now down at Mountain Creek

Mt Snow to Mtn Creek? That's kind of a step down the career ladder isn't it?

Better video than the one WA put together ...

Air temps up in Carrabassett Valley(Sugarloaf) have been great for this weekend and look to be great through all of next week. With flurries predicted all through the week they should be able to get some more trails happenning. Should also give Saddleback a little something to work with for their opening..8)

Looks like Sunday River is not just looking to expand terrain for next weekend, but EXPLODE...

Looking at the interactive map it looks like they are trying to get to five lifts for next weekend:

Locke
Barker
Spruce
Chondola
South Ridge Express

That'll be a pretty impressive expansion for one week. Go Snowmakers Go!

The interactive map can be a bit off at times, or should I say, not updated as often as it could be. SR's been making snow around the clock on the upper mountain since Friday night and beginning yesterday evening, they began blowing around the clock all the way to South Ridge. It was good to see guns going all over today without having to be shut off. Except for Lower Sunday Punch and CFC, all the guns on today were on trails not yet opened, i.e., Cascades, Escapade, Easy Street, Broadway, Upper and Lower Risky Business, and Sirius. With the hundreds of Santas out today, all the open terrain needs new snow as well. T2 was/is an icy disaster.

Word around Mount Snow today from an ambassador or two was that if the weather stays cold all week that ALL 250+ fan guns will have had hours added to their hour meters by next weekend! :) :snow: :fangun: And that lots of gallons of water and cubic feet of compressed air will have been sent towards the Northface :) This could be an EPIC week for snowmaking in New England!

Camelback PA started making snow Friday night. When I was there Saturday (Just before the snow storm) they were shooting from about the 1500' elevation mark to the summit on several trails. The storm left about 4-5 inches at the 1700' level where my wifes families Pocono house is. Wasn't up there Sunday but seeing as it was pretty cold here in N Jersey (no real snow melt) looks like they had a good day to shoot.

Tenatively they are looking to Open Saturday Dec 12th.

Looks like River Run too, moving towards the North Face. I would like to see Fallen Timbers i think first...

They did a good job turning things around so quickly after the warm weather last week. They had the fans on the lower part of Canyon all day yesterday. The upper part of Long John was blasted with the regular guns all day as well. I'm sure once they get a decen base on those, they'll start moving to other spots.
