anyone ever do it? wondering how it is? whether it's worth it. i know it's just ski lanes just set up on the glacier. thinking about it as a low impact alternative to south america.

I never skied the glacier during the summer, only during the winter, and it is kind of small. I skied at Timberline Lodge during July, August and September as they have a longer public lane opened, and it only takes two lifts to get to the skiing. They also have a longer summer season lasting until Labor Day.

My wife's sister went to Whistler during the summer for her honeymoon. Locals kept on telling them to pass because it's "crappy skiing". Their last day they took the lift w/o skis just to check it out. Ends up a local's crap is a decent day in the east. My brother-in-law was pissed.

thanks guys. yeah i'm expecting limited conditions. just want to make some turns and bang some bumps. would explore other activities, like hiking, biking kayaking etc.
