Sunday River May 26th
Temps mid 60's at base mid 50's up top
Turns made on Vortex

I started from the base of Jordan just before 10 am. I hiked up the work road. Took about 1 hour 5 min to get to the top shack. Hiked down Kansas to vortex. I went down upper vortex to see what is really looked like. Quite a venture with the rocks. I got to lower vortex just before noon. I was suprised to see a nice 300 yard patch and another 150 foot patch. I sat down and and took it all in. Snow was nice and had some decent turns. I skipped a few 50 foot patches, but made turns on the bigger ones. I walked up the Aurora work road to Dreammaker to Last mile out down to the north peak. I saw a few moutnain bikers and hikers along the way. Good spirits about. No bugs with a decent breeze. Hazy and off and on thick clouds so temps were fine. Saw good sized fox near the fall Line Double. Seemed to be enjoying the day. Might be it. Depends if Hunter has any snow up top this weekend. I'll be happy if this was my last day. 75 days 2 with turns earned at the River.

I saw the bartender you talked about as well Snowseek.. He remebered you. (perfer not to post local or name.good stories) Only complaint I have is all this ski on ski off nonsense is BS. I had to hike 1.5 hours to get turns last week and two hours this week. I could have driven to a resort faster than I hiked.

I seem to recall dmc mentioning you'd be heading out to Hunter in June. Should be something on Hellgate I'd imagine...
